For citizens with disabilities I category, as well as children with disabilities in our country are entitled to free travel to the place of treatment in the sanatorium and back. By the way, disabled children are provided free of charge with vouchers to a sanatorium from the age of 4.

Citizens and their accompanying persons have the right to use
- by rail,
- by road,
- by water,
- as well as by air.
To obtain travel documents for railway transport, you need to contact the regional office of the Fund at the place of residence. There they will issue special coupons for the disabled person and his accompanying person for the right to receive free travel documents on a long-distance train.
After that, information about the beneficiary is sent to the server of Russian Railways, and the person does not need to go to the railway ticket office to get a free ticket.
It only takes a few simple steps:
If it is not possible to issue a ticket on the website on the Internet, you can still come to the ticket office to collect it. It is enough to present only your passport.
If you need to use other modes of transport, the employees of the regional branch of the Fund will issue a referral for the purchase of travel documents by air, road or water transport.
Please note that the Fund provides citizens of preferential categories on their way to the place of treatment in 83 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and in the territory of Baikonur (except for Moscow, Moscow region).
When is free travel granted?
A special ticket or referral for issuing a free travel document is provided:
- for travel to the place of treatment and back on the Foundation's vouchers;
- for travel to the place of treatment (including the place of sanatorium treatment) in the direction of the executive authorities of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation in the field of healthcare.
