Popcaan & Jah Cure Beefing Over Same Female, Weapons Drawn Says Foota Hype

Popcaan and Jah Cure beefing, and Foota Hype spilling the tea.

International reggae recording artiste Jah Cure seems to have somehow found himself in the middle of another controversy if the rumors circulating are true. On Monday, news broke that the “Longing For” singer may have been involved in an altercation with “Unruly Boss” Popcaan.

Popular selector and dancehall commentator Foota Hype, also known as the Viral King, became one of the first to publicly break the story on the alleged incident. During an Instagram LIVE session, he gave a detailed report as to what allegedly took place. According to his report, Jah Cure was meeting with someone at his house, however, during the meeting, there seemed to have been a breakdown in the negotiation or transaction, and the person demanded to leave. When Jah Cure refused to allow the individual to leave, the person reportedly reached out to Popcaan to come and get them.

The story continues that Popcaan tried to reach out to Jah Cure via telephone. However, all efforts went unanswered. Poppi was forced to pull a skilled maneuver to gain access to the secured and gated community where Cure’s townhouse is located. On his arrival, the Unruly Boss was said to have been verbally abused by Cure and questioned as to why he had turned up at his house. As the story goes, Poppi was accompanied by another person who, upon realizing the two were embroiled in a heated argument, pulled a firearm. At that point, Jah Cure had already allegedly gone for his machete and begun hurling threats. The “Only Man She Want” artiste reportedly left with the individual he had come to pick up at Cure’s house.

After Foota Hype posted his video, another Vlogger, Amari, posted his version of the incident that took place with a twist. He stated Foota had gotten some of what happened correctly; however, the incident did not stem from a meeting but rather from both artists dating the same girl, who is alleged to be of African descent. In his version, it was Zamunda who Popcaan had initially sent for the girl when she called. The lanky rastaman was reportedly chased away and verbally abused by Jah Cure. This action resulted in Popcaan visiting Jah Cure himself with his entourage.

If the second version of this sordid tale is to be believed, it is not a surprise to many following a similar incident in November last year also involving Cure. In that instance, Cure was caught on camera berating two females at his house over their apparent refusal to provide him with sexual favors that he had paid for. In the almost 4 min long video, the “Unconditional Love” singer is heard arguing in a loud voice with the two women accusing them of allowing others to disrespect him. At one point in the video, he even threatened to kill the women after demanding that he be reimbursed for the money he gave them.

While we are still not sure if the latest reports revealed the accuracy of the events that unfolded, it was just recently Jah Cure was seen hanging out with Beenie Man, another artiste whom he was at odds with for several years. It would be a terrible act to blemish the air of peace the entertainer was seemingly creating through that indication. What are your thoughts on this recent situation?

Beenie Man Upset With Bounty Killer For Feud With Foota Hype & Matterhorn

Beenie Man says he is upset with Bounty Killer for entertaining a feud with Foota Hype and Tony Matterhorn.

Social media is the battlefield these days for a lot of the feud in dancehall. Artists throwing words against other artists and sound system selectors cursing out artists as in the case of Bounty and the two veteran disc jockeys. During an interview with Anthony Miller on ER, Beenie Man weights in on the feud while expressing his disappointment with his longtime rival Bounty Killer.

“I feel like competition is what keep you on your toes, keep you on the edge, it make you sharp and build faster lyrics,” Beenie said. “But when it gets to a point when it becomes disrespectful, I feel you should just squash it and you know just don’t deal with it. I am really upset with Bounty Killer to follow up with Foota Hype and Matterhorn with every picture you comment and retweet and send it. You’re a big man, you’re the warlard, the general of dancehall, so you don’t need to follow up no little man my lord.”

Beenie Man also spoke about how Bounty Killer helped both Foota Hype and Tony Matterhorn becomes the big names in the disc jockey business that they are today.

Alkaline Visa Not Revoked Despite Foota Hype Claim

Alkaline visa was not revoked despite recent rumors claiming that the Vendetta deejay is currently without travel documents for the U.S.

The rumors started following Alkaline’s no show at the Ecips Music Festival in New York last week. The “Champion Boy” deejay blamed it on circumstances beyond his control, but sources told Dancehall HipHop that his and other artists no show was as a result of the promoter not paying the artists final deposits.

Some industry personalities like Foota Hype have since questioned the artist’s story saying that his absence was because of his visa getting revoked. A rep for the Vendetta leader told DHH that those rumors are lies and that the deejay will be performing in Atlanta this weekend. “Alkaline will be live in Atlanta this weekend don’t listen to all these bogus reports about visa revoked,” his rep said. “Some old boy (Foota Hype) no have no have nothing better to do than sit down on social media every day and a talk about the boss. That’s why them gal a give them bun because all them do a gossip.”

Last weekend Popcaan revealed that he didn’t get a visa in time to perform at the Red Bull Culture Clash in Atlanta.

Foota Hype Trolling Alkaline Says ‘Extra Lesson’ Deejay Has No Kids

Foota Hype is trolling Alkaline on Instagram after welcoming his new baby.

Alkaline famously raps about being the dancehall “gallis” of the moment, but Foota Hype is feeling some type of way about giving the Vendetta boss that title. “Some bwoy say dem a gallis and a talk bout extra lesson and nuh know dah feeling yah fi create life #adori day just born pic,” Foota Hype wrote in the caption of a photo of himself holding his newborn.

Perhaps Foota is trying to get Alkaline’s attention, but he did managed to get some Vendetta fans angry. “Big up yourself Alkaline, better u no have no youth…. a nuff a dem a breed up woman and naa mine dem youth , not even know how dem youth eat and drink,” one fan wrote. Foota Hype also has a son with dancehall diva Ishawna.

Listen I-Octane New Song “Don Status” [Malibu Riddim]

I-Octane take his “Don Status” very serious in his new single featured on the hot new Malibu Riddim.

Other artists like Masicka, Tifa, Bugle, Chi Ching Ching and Wasp have voiced for the beat produced by H2O Records. “Right now a big money pack up no pocket / Black mack 11 no ratchet / No make yo and mi dogs them go at it / Cuz just like a door them ago knock it / Anyway gal them getting more erratic,” I-Octane rhymes over the new dancehall beat.

I-Octane was missing in action at last weekend’s Reggae Sumfest over some fallouts with the new promoter Joe Bogdanovich after he signed Foota Hype to his label.
