DJ Khaled Shed Tears As “Khaled Khaled” Debuts At No. 1 On Billboard 200 Chart

DJ Khaled is celebrating his third No. 1 album with Khaled Khaled.

The album debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart this week after arriving on April 30. The 14-track album, which features an array of top artists, opens with 93,000 equivalent album units in the U.S., according to Nielsen/MRC Data. According to Billboard, there were 76,000 equivalent streaming units recorded in the first week, which equals 106.87 million on-demand streams. There were also 14,000 units moved in album sales.

DJ Khaled earned two platinum records from the album prior to its release thanks to the Drake-assisted “Popstar” and “Greece,” which debuted at No. 3 and No. 8 respectively on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in July. Other famous guest stars on Khaled Khaled include Nas, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Cardi B, Justin Bieber, H.E.R., Buju Banton, Bounty Killer, and more.

DJ Khaled reacted to his latest No. 1 album on Instagram sharing multiple celebratory videos of himself and the artists who helped him bring the project to life. In one video, the producer was actually in tears as he reflected on what he has just achieved. “I cried many nights. Tears of JOY and Pain making this album,” he wrote.

“Everyone’s beautiful words, texts, messages really touched my heart. God is Great! THANK YOU! THE LIGHT. #KHALEDKHALED #1 album in the country @billboard I told my team they have permission to film everything. I want my fans to see the real. Just be. Always be you.” he added.

In another post, he wrote, “I cried many nights to bring you this album. This starts a new decade. New chapter in my life. And I just want to say thank you.” He followed up his big win with a short film music video for his song “Let It Go” with Justin Bieber and 21 Savage.

Justin Bieber Called Out For Cultural Appropriation After Debuting Dreadlocks

Pop star Justin Bieber is once again being called out for cultural appropriation. This comes after the singer debuted a controversial new look over the weekend.

Justin Bieber took to Instagram to post a series of images alongside his wife Hailey on Sunday as the couple enjoyed a vacation. It wasn’t long before fans noticed that the singer was sporting a new look and began questioning what was up with the pop star’s hair. The singer then decided to give fans a closeup, posting a selfie showcasing his starter dreads hours later, on Monday morning.

As was the case in 2016 when he debuted a similar look, fans weren’t here for the hairstyle. Many called out the singer for appropriating black culture.

One Instagram user wrote, “This ain’t it but ily through it all.” Another was more direct, commenting, “this is cultural appropriation…I know you can do better.”

A third IG user wrote, “J, please educate yourself on cultural appropriation… You shouldn’t be wearing dreads. With love.”

Just as he did back in 2016, Justin has not directly addressed the comments calling him out but made his stance known about his choices. Back then, he addressed it with a video on Instagram captioning it, “Being weird is fun’ if ur not weird I don’t like you.”

In today’s instance, he posted a cryptic message to his Instagram page. The post said, “It’s power in acknowledging our insecurities, WE ALL GOT EM.”

He continued, “It’s okay to have insecurities, open up and talk about them it’s healthy.”

While several fans tried to defend the singer, many were adamant that Bieber’s white skin precluded him from wearing locs. In recent times, dreads have largely been worn by black people as a fashion statement, but for many, they have spiritual significance. Rastafarians, in particular, see them as spiritually significant and representative of their quest to let go of material possessions as well as a representation of their religious choices and beliefs.

Now while Justin has not indicated the reason for his hairstyle change, the singer has been on a spiritual journey of his own. Last year he posted images showing him and his wife getting baptized. He captioned the images, “The moment @haileybieber my wife and I got baptized together! This was one of most special moments of my life. Confessing our love and trust in Jesus publicly with our friends and family.”

Still, some folks may be reading too deeply into the hair change as it’s just a way for him to express his own “weird and fun” style, and as he calls it and he’s letting everyone know that he’s secure enough with himself to try just about anything.

Justin Bieber previously came under fire for cultural appropriation when he released his 2015 song, “Sorry”, which borrows a lot of its elements from reggae/dancehall music even the fashion and choreography in the music video. At the time, Bieber did not give credit to Jamaican music culture. However, in an interview with DJ Khaled last month, the Canadian heartthrob admitted that he was influenced by reggae/dancehall.

justin sweetheart you have to understand that to support black people and the anti racism movement you have to be coherent to what you preach and that means not doing cultural appropriation ever

dreadlocks do not look good on you @justinbieber

Justin needs to look into why dreadlocks are considered to be cultural appropriation. If he educated himself on this topic, he wouldn't be doing it

Justin Bieber On If He’s Influenced By Reggae/Dancehall, “The Answer Is Yes”

Justin Bieber says he is influenced by reggae/dancehall music but failed to meet the low bar in giving Jamaican music its proper credit.

As a world advocate for reggae and dancehall music and Jamaica as a whole, DJ Khaled never fails to give credit to dancehall culture, which is not only a part of his roots but has spawned multiple hits for him. Khaled recently had the opportunity to interview Justin Bieber amidst the release of his latest album, Justice, and the hitmaking producer asked the pop superstar about dancehall’s influence on his own music.

Justin Bieber sparked some controversy back in 2015 with his monstrous comeback hit “Sorry” from his album Purpose. The popular track had that rhythmic dancehall flavor and bassline, and its accompanying music video featured styles and dances from dancehall culture. What most local dancehall artists and fans took issue with was the fact that the genre was never credited at any opportunity for its obvious influence on the record.

The producer behind the No. 1 track regularly dabbles in dancehall and reggae sounds and has often tipped his hat to the culture for influencing his productions. From interviews to award stages, Skrillex laments his fandom of the commonly-sampled genre time and time again. However, as if prohibited to do so, the word “dancehall” has never publicly escaped artists like Justin Bieber’s lips. DJ Khaled asked about “Sorry,” particularly during his recent interview with the pop superstar on his First One with DJ Khaled podcast on Amazon Music.

“The record ‘Sorry,’ it has that dancehall feel. I love Jamaica. I love reggae, I love dancehall music. It wouldn’t be no DJ Khaled if Khaled didn’t break out of dancehall. It’s part of my story and who I am,” Khaled said. “What inspired you to make that record? Are you influenced by reggae music/dancehall music?”

In response, Justin told Khaled, “So the answer is yes. I am inspired by really all music but in particular I love island music. I love the feel of just the percussion, you know, I’m a drummer so that percussion it moves me. It makes me want to dance.”

“I wanna make music for the world,” Bieber continues. “I don’t want to get caught up being too isolated. I want to make music that impacts everybody of all cultures, all ethnicities, all shapes and sizes.”

Justin, who is a self-taught musician, has been playing the drums since he was a toddler. After teaming up with several renowned music producers influenced by reggae and dancehall sounds, he has created a number of similar dancehall flavored records – all of which went unattributed to the originating culture.

One of the major producers that Justin has worked with in the past who has faced similar criticism is Major Lazer, a group that is undoubtedly the product of an amalgamation of genres like dancehall, Afro-beats, EDM, and more. While one of its members is Jamaican, admitting the influence of dancehall on their records has seemed to be as difficult for them as it is for Justin. They too have faced backlash for cultural appropriation in addition to artists like Drake and Kanye West.

The artists who tend to give dancehall the respect it deserves pretty much grew up on it themselves as Caribbean natives. Namely, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj often highlight the undeniable impact of the genre and raise awareness of its prior existence.

Meanwhile, Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” which was one of the biggest records of 2015, broke a number of streaming records in multiple regions, and the visuals currently boast more than 3.5 billion views on YouTube, ranking as the platform’s 13th most viewed video. It unquestionably catalyzed the renewed interest in dancehall-influenced mainstream music and was the start of an onslaught of tracks by various artists that were clearly products of dancehall culture.

As for when dancehall will actually be named by some mainstream artists as a major influence and stop being whitewashed by mainstream music media with empty terms like “Island music,” “Tropical House,” and “Caribbean-flavored,” we will have to wait and see.

Justin Bieber Gets Support From Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Family Amid Backlash

Justin Bieber’s latest album, Justice, has received the support of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s King Center, which has allowed him to play a prelude of one of Dr. King’s popular speeches at the start of the album.

According to Justin Bieber, the album was so named because of the injustices of the world, and he was hoping his music could be a respite from the issues many are facing due to the injustices.

The Daughter of Dr. King Jr., Bernice King, thanked Bieber for supporting the King Center and its ‘Be Love campaign as part of the singer’s philanthropic efforts around the new album.

“Each of us, including artists and entertainers can do something,” she wrote on Twitter to Bieber. “Thank you @justinbieber, for your support, in honor of #Justice, of @TheKingCenter’s work and of our #BeLove campaign which is part of our global movement for justice #MLK #EndRacism,” she tweeted.

Each of us, including artists and entertainers, can do something.

Thank you, @justinbieber, for your support, in honor of #Justice, of @TheKingCenter’s work and of our #BeLove campaign, which is a part of our global movement for justice. #MLK #EndRacism https://t.co/nTkR1XdcvW

— Be A King (@BerniceKing) March 18, 2021

The album features a handful of MLK audio clips, and one track, “2 Much,” starts with one of the most famous quotes from King’s 1963 writings, “Letter from a Birmingham Jail,” which says, “Injustice everywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” The album also features an “MLK Interlude” from the popular historical figure, which is an audio recording of a sermon Dr. King gave at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in November 1967, which starts “I say to you this morning, if you have never found something so dear and so precious to you that you will die for it, then you aren’t fit to live.”

Not only is Justin Bieber collaborating with the King Center, he also announced that he is supporting organizations “that embody what justice looks like in action.” Among those receiving his support are the Anti Recidivism Coalition, Alexandria House, the Compton Pledge, Baby2Baby, The Equal Justice Initiative, Lift, Self Help Graphics, and Art. This is About Humanity and the Poor Peoples Campaign.

Bieber’s move has not been without controversy as there was some push back over his use of MLK in his music. However, he said in recent interviews that “what I wanted to do with this was amplify [Dr.] Martin Luther King Jr’s voice to this generation… being Canadian, it wasn’t so much a part of my culture.”

He also spoke about the MLK interlude and why it was chosen “This speech was actually during the time when [he had] a feeling that he was going to die for the cause, and what he was standing up against was ultimately racism and division. I think his message was that a lot of people can be afraid to stand up for what is right, but if you’re not standing up for justice- for what is right- what are you doing with your life? I’m sorry to get so deep, but these are the times we’re living in. That’s why I wanted to make this album because I think it’s very timely and very necessary.”

Meanwhile, the album is a hit as it is currently the #1 album on iTunes in the United States.

Justin Bieber, who was nominated for four categories of the 63rd Grammys held last week, boycotted the ceremony as he said he did not like the categories they placed him in and felt his music should have been nominated for R&B rather than Pop.

According to him, his album “Changes” is an R&B album, and “it is not being acknowledged as an R&B album, which is very strange to me.”

The album, which is the artist’s fifth studio album, was released through Def Jam Recordings and RBMG in February 2020. One of the songs off of the album Yummy was nominated for Pop Solo Performance.

This is a real MLK speech on a Justin Bieber album. Ava couldn’t even use MLK’s speeches for SELMA. https://t.co/fh7LcDVeIV

bieber has an interlude on his new album called ‘MLK interlude’ and it‘s a clip of a MLK speech and then it moves into a song…. about his love for… hailey? pic.twitter.com/DQVYUiLV4o

justin bieber profiting off of the civil rights movement as a white man is weird. his album is called ‘justice’ and has an MLK interlude but speaks nowhere of social justice, and is focused on love & relationships… huh?

Justin Bieber – 2 Much Lyrics

[Intro: Martin Luther King Jr.]
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere

[Verse 1]
Maybe I stare too much
Maybe not long enough
Funny how I forget to blink
But when you let down your hair
Dancin' like no one's there
I know I'm where I'm s'posed to be

[Pre-Chorus]
I say "I love you" under my breath
More times than you can digest
Music every time I hear your name, oh
Your head's layin' right on my chest
Sun's up and I still ain't got no rest

[Chorus]
Don't wanna close my eyes, I'm scared I'll miss too much
Don't wanna fall asleep, I'd rather fall in love
When I can't feel you, I feel out of touch
Two seconds without you's like two months
Don't wanna close my eyes, I'm scared I'll miss too much
Don't wanna fall asleep, I'd rather fall in love
'Cause eternity with you ain't long enough
Two seconds without you's like two months

And that's too much
[Verse 2]
Love the way you love your mom
Take on all your friends problems
Still somehow stop the world for us, oh
I still relive that second
I met my biggest blessing
Prayed for you, look what God has done

[Pre-Chorus]
I say "I love you" under my breath
More times than you can digest
Music every time I hear your name, oh
Your head's layin' right on my chest
Sun's up and I still ain't got no rest

[Chorus]
Don't wanna close my eyes, I'm scared I'll miss too much
Don't wanna fall asleep, I'd rather fall in love
When I can't feel you, I feel out of touch
Two seconds without you's like two months
Don't wanna close my eyes, I'm scared I'll miss too much
Don't wanna fall asleep, I'd rather fall in love
'Cause eternity with you ain't long enough
Two seconds without you's like two months
And that's too much

Soulchef – Hypocrite Lyrics (feat. Jas Mace)

Intro: Jas Mace
Yo, stop being a hypocrite man, whatchu talking about
You say one thing, then you say another thing
What’s going on man, what’s really good, huh?

Verse 1: Jas Mace
It ain’t cost me no money to write this, but it did take me a lot of sense
The human mind is complex
I don’t like to hurt creatures and I’m all for the rights
But I’ll kill a f**kin snake between my knife and some rice
I’m nice to everybody but I really hate people
They be gettin on my nerves, that’s the life of an introvert
And I don’t mean to hurt your feelings but I’m honest
I’ll say one thing and then the other like “I love people”
I guess it all depends on how I’m feelin
I don’t pay for step clearance but dammit I hate stealing
And I’ll fight for human rights while I type on my iPhone (aw man)
Knowin those workers ain’t going home
Homosexuals and equal rights, that’s no question
But dam I love Chick-fil-A sandwiches
Yeah I’m an atheist
But if the plane goes down I might say “Dear God won’t you save me”

Hook: Jas Mace
I’m a hypocrite, you’re a hypocrite, we’re all some hypocrites
And we don’t really give a shit
(x4)

Verse 2: Jas Mace
Yeah, now I use the word retarded, bitch and even faggot
Not tryna be offensive I’m just playing with my brethren
I’m not perfect but I’m workin on it
These shells are too fragile ain’t no point in tip toein on it
I see a lot of twerking when they outta be working for college
But still I click, just to see how far the bottom drops
My hypocritical ways
Cuz if I call my daughter I done fought her for days
Uh, got a warm heart but I’m a cold dude
I sympathize with homeless but I only give em food
And yes I know the world revolves around a dollar sign
I want the government to give it they ain’t takin mine
Yeah, we’re righteous online
Hearts in the right place, mine’s on some me time
See I’m a hip hop head to the bone
But if Justin Bieber call better pass me the phone

Hook: Jas Mace
I’m a hypocrite, you’re a hypocrite, we’re all some hypocrites
And we don’t really give a shit
(x4)

Outro: Jas Mace
That’s what I’m saying man, step down off that high horse
We all got a little bit of hypocrite in us
You, me and yo momma is a hypocrite

Justin Bieber – What does XENOGENESIS mean? Lyrics

Justin Bieber
What do you mean?
When you nod your head yes
But you wanna say no
What do you mean?
When you don’t want me to move
But you tell me to go
What do you mean?
What do you mean?
Said we’re running out of time, what do you mean?
What do you mean?
Better make up your mind
What do you mean?

[XENOGENESIS]

You’re so indecisive of what I’m saying
Trying to catch the beat make up your heart
Don’t know if you’re happy or complaining
Don’t want for us to end where do I start

First you wanna go left and you want to turn right
Wanna argue all day make love all night
First you up and you’re down and then between
Oh I really want to know…

What do you mean?
When you nod your head yes
But you wanna say no
What do you mean?
When you don’t want me to move
But you tell me to go
What do you mean?
What do you mean?
Said we’re running out of time, what do you mean?
What do you mean?
Better make up your mind
What do you mean?

Ariana Grande
You’re overprotective when I’m leaving
Trying to compromise but I can’t win
You wanna make a point but you keep preaching
You had me from the start won’t let this end

Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande
First you wanna go to the left and you want to turn right
Wanna argue all day make love all night
First you up and you’re down and then between
Oh I really want to know…

What do you mean?
When you nod your head yes
But you wanna say no
What do you mean?
When you don’t want me to move
But you tell me to go
What do you mean?
I wanna know
What do you mean?
Said we’re running out of time, what do you mean?
Oh baby
What do you mean?
Better make up your mind
What do you mean?
You’re so selfish baby

When you nod your head yes
But you wanna say no
What do you mean?
When you don’t want me to move
But you tell me to go
What do you mean?
What do you mean?
Said we’re running out of time, what do you mean?
What do you mean?
Better make up your mind
What do you mean?

Luis Fonsi – Despacito (Remix) (feat. Daddy Yankee & Justin Bieber) lyrics

Letra del remix de “Despacito” con Justin Bieber, Luis Fonsi y Daddy Yankee
[English Translation]

[Intro: Justin Bieber]
Comin’ over in my direction
So thankful for that, it’s such a blessin’, yeah
Turn every situation into heaven, yeah
Oh-oh, you are
My sunrise on the darkest day
Got me feelin’ some kind of way
Make me wanna savor every moment slowly, slowly
You fit me tailor-made, love how you put it on
Got the only key, know how to turn it on
The way you nibble on my ear, the only words I wanna hear
Baby, take it slow so we can last long

[Verso 1: Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee]
¡Oh!

[Coro: Justin Bieber & Luis Fonsi / Daddy Yankee]
Despacito
Quiero respirar tu cuello despacito
Deja que te diga cosas al oído
Para que te acuerdes si no estás conmigo
Despacito
Quiero desnudarte a besos despacito
Firmo en las paredes de tu laberinto
Y hacer de tu cuerpo todo un manuscrito
(Sube, sube, sube
Sube, sube)

[Post-Coro: Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee]
Quiero ver bailar tu pelo, quiero ser tu ritmo (woah, woah)
Que le enseñes a mi boca (woah, woah)
Tus lugares favoritos (favorito, favorito, baby)
Déjame sobrepasar tus zonas de peligro (woah, woah)
Hasta provocar tus gritos (woah, woah)
Y que olvides tu apellido

[Verso 2: Daddy Yankee]
Quiero, quiero, quiero ver cuánto amor a ti te cabe
Yo no tengo prisa, yo me quiero dar el viaje
Empecemos lento, después salvaje

[Pre-Coro: Daddy Yankee & Justin Bieber / Daddy Yankee]
Pasito a pasito, suave suavecito
Nos vamos pegando, poquito a poquito
Cuando tú me besas con esa destreza
Veo que eres malicia con delicadeza
Pasito a pasito, suave suavecito
Nos vamos pegando, poquito a poquito
Y es que esa belleza es un rompecabezas
Pero pa’ montarlo aquí tengo la pieza
¡Oye!

[Coro: Justin Bieber & Luis Fonsi / Daddy Yankee]
Despacito
Quiero respirar tu cuello despacito
Deja que te diga cosas al oído
Para que te acuerdes si no estás conmigo
Despacito
Quiero desnudarte a besos despacito
Firmo en las paredes de tu laberinto
Y hacer de tu cuerpo todo un manuscrito
(Sube, sube, sube
Sube, sube)

[Post-Coro: Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee]
Quiero ver bailar tu pelo, quiero ser tu ritmo (woah, woah)
Que le enseñes a mi boca (woah, woah)
Tus lugares favoritos (favorito, favorito, baby)
Déjame sobrepasar tus zonas de peligro (woah, woah)
Hasta provocar tus gritos (woah, woah)
Y que olvides tu apellido

[Puente: Luis Fonsi]
Despacito
This is how we do it down in Puerto Rico
I just wanna hear you screaming, “¡Ay, Bendito!”
I can move forever cuando esté contigo
¡Bailalo!

[Post-Coro: Daddy Yankee, Luis Fonsi & Justin Bieber]
Pasito a pasito, suave suavecito
Nos vamos pegando, poquito a poquito
Que le enseñes a mi boca
Tus lugares favoritos
(Favorito, favorito, baby)
Pasito a pasito, suave suavecito
Nos vamos pegando, poquito a poquito
Hasta provocar tus gritos (Fonsi)
Y que olvides tu apellido (D.Y.)
Despacito

Post Malone – Deja Vu (feat. Justin Bieber) lyrics

[Verse 1: Post Malone]
‘Cause I can’t take it no more
No, you ain’t like them bitches
Tell them hoes adios
And you can drop your panties
Leave them shits at the door
Dior falls on the floor
I swear we been here before
I’m tryna see you from my own perspective
You all in my section tryna come to my session
We rollin’ up pressure, you know that we flexin’
We bought all the bottles, we came with the models
Girl this a confession, I’m not like your exes
I came up from Texas, and now that we textin’
You can fly in whenever, now you undressin’
Panties on the dresser, your hair gettin’ messed up
The feelin’ we catchin’, my love is a blessin’
Made love in that Lexus, made love in that Lexus
I know you remember (I know you remember)

[Chorus: Justin Bieber & Post Malone]
Tell me, is that deja vu? (Ooh, ooh)
‘Cause you want me and I want you (ooh, ooh)
Tell me, is that deja vu? (Ooh, ooh)

So let me point you in the right direction
It’s so important that you get the message (oh)
Yeah, yeah, I gotta say, gotta say somethin’ to you, you, you

If you wanna do what I wanna do
Well uhm-uhm-uhm
Well I guess that is just deja vu

[Chorus: Justin Bieber & Post Malone]

Oh-oh, oh-oh

The Weeknd Pulls Plug On Selena Gomez Relationship Before Bieber

The Weeknd has reportedly ended his relationship with Selena Gomez from before the actress and Justin Bieber started hooking up again.

News of the couple’s demise came last weekend just days after she was spotted hanging out with her on-again off-again ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. The Weeknd fans were quick to blame Justin Bieber for the breakup, but it turns out that the pop star had nothing to do with it except the fact that he make a good rebound for Gomez. TMZ reported that the XO singer pulled the plug on the relationship a few weeks ago after the two grew apart.

Their relationship has been fizzling out since around summer mostly due to his extensive touring and her shooting and new movie. They started talking a lot less and spending less time together. Sources say he called her up a few weeks ago to explain his stance on the relationship and why he is breaking up with her. The Weeknd felt like he was enjoying single life a lot more than he thinks and the relationship was putting a strain on him. The two have remained friendly since their split but with Justin Bieber coming back in the picture that will likely change.

Abel was spotted last night in the club grinding on a mystery female so he has been handling it pretty well.

The Weeknd and Selena Gomez Brokeup Fans Blaming Justin Bieber

The Weeknd and Selena Gomez have broken up and fans are highly upset and are blaming Justin Bieber for the split.

News of the couple’s split comes just days after Justin Bieber was spotted pulling up at Selena Gomez’s house in Studio City, Los Angeles. It’s hardly a year since Abel and the actress/singer have been dating and their fans were rooting hard for them. The couple first went public with their relationship back in January of this year when they were spotted in a park kissing. According to reports from PEOPLE, the couple’s busy schedule is the main reason behind their split, but fans on Twitter aren’t buying it and thinks Bieber is behind it.

“She and Abel have been going back and forth for a few months about their relationship,” sources told the magazine. “It’s been hard with him being on tour and her shooting in New York. That wasn’t easy on them.” Selena Gomez did a kidney transplant earlier this year and after her best friend decided to give her one of her kidneys. The Weeknd was by her side supporting her the entire time. Since then he has been on tour almost non-stop and she has been shooting a new movie and that put a strain on their relationship.

TMZ reported on Sunday that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were spotted having breakfast at a cafe in the Westlake Village, California, and also attending church together. Bieber and Gomez have been dating on and off since around 2011 and officially called it quits in 2015. The Weeknd previously dated supermodel Bella Hadid who was close friends with Selena prior to them hooking up.

Sources are saying that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are not back together and are just hanging out as friends. But that’s the usual celebrity M.O. until someone caught them kissing or something.

Dancehall Need More Balance Says Agent Sasco

Dancehall music is currently back in mainstream, but Assassin, aka Agent Sasco, says the music need more balance.

Sasco has around two decades of experience in dancehall and has created a vast catalog for himself including some international hits with overseas artists. The 34-year-old deejay made a name for himself as one of the most prolific lyricists in dancehall and often drew attention for his socially conscious and thought provoking lyrics.

Sasco recently weighed in on the state of the music and how the young acts stacks up to the veterans in the business. “You have 17-year-olds now that have an idea of what dancehall should look and sound like,” he said. “I am not going to be one of the man dem who dictate how fi dem (young artistes) world should look because it is for dem to use how dem see it to come up with material. The issue is when there is no balance to it or when it is one-dimensional.”

Agent Sasco added that currently he is hearing too much of the same thing on the airwaves and want to see more balance among the new acts. He also want stakeholders to start look at the business aspects of dancehall and that’s a sentiment that has been echoed from musicians over the last few years. The full earning potential of dancehall acts are not being met, despite the huge popularity of the genre worldwide and over the last few years you have some big name international acts like Drake, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Ed Sheeran tapping into the genre to make massive hits.

Sean Kingston “I Can’t Write For Chris Brown & Justin Bieber and Be Broke”

Sean Kingston says that he can’t be writing songs for Chris Brown and Justin Bieber and be broke.

The reggae pop star has been under scrutiny in recent weeks over his finances after a judge issued a warrant for his arrest for failing to pay a Miami jeweler thousands of dollars. Despite posting photos of his mansion and luxury cars in Jamaica, Sean Kingston has been getting criticism on social media for living lavishly while still not paying his debts.

In a video clip posted recently, Kingston said he is far from being broke. “Yo can write songs for Chris Brown and Justin Bieber and them man there and broke, a what happen to some man, stop believe everything yo hear,” the singer said. Sean Kingston also recently launched his own line of headphones called Monster Box. He will be working with the same company that make Beats By Dre and will be giving a twelve percent stake in the new venture. He will also include a Jamaican version of the headphone line which he said will have more bass in the speakers.

Kingston also revealed that he will be launching a reality show on E! this fall that will give fans a deeper look into his life.

Justin Bieber Hit Paparazzo With Truck On Way From Church

Justin Bieber may have some new legal troubles on his hands after hitting a paparazzo with his truck while leaving a church.

Just a few days ago, Bieber announced that he has canceled the remainder of his tour to dedicate his life to Christ. On Wednesday night, the Canadian singer attended church service at The City Church and while he was leaving a group of paparazzi bombarded his vehicle and he somehow hit one of them. Video footage from the incident has since gone viral, showing the moment the vehicle hit the man who is seen on the ground in the photo above.

Cops reported that the man who was hit was taken to the hospital for none life-threatening injuries. The police report also stated that the vehicle was moving extremely slow when the incident occurred. Justin Bieber stopped his vehicle and tried to assist the photographer who was on the ground in pain. He stayed until paramedics arrived and later went about his business, but you can almost bet that a lawsuit is on the way.

“I’m okay,” the photographer said in a video statement posted on TMZ. “Hour before my birthday hits, I get run over by Justin Bieber. Isn’t that something? He’s a good kid, though. I think the truck was a little too big for him, though. There’s no way he could see over the front…But like I said, he got out, he was compassionate, he’s a good kid.” Watch the video below.

In the video you can see Justin Bievber scolding the group of paparazzi who kept filming the whole time. “Are you guys worried about me, or this guy, who’s on the ground? What are you guys doing?” he said. “This guy is on the ground and you’re talking to me about stuff. Put your cameras down and start helping.”

Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee – Despacito Feat. Justin Bieber lyrics

[Intro: Justin Bieber]
Comin’ over in my direction
So thankful for that, it’s such a blessin’, yeah
Turn every situation into heaven, yeah
Oh-oh, you are
My sunrise on the darkest day
Got me feelin’ some kind of way
Make me wanna savor every moment slowly, slowly
You fit me tailor-made, love how you put it on
Got the only key, know how to turn it on
The way you nibble on my ear, the only words I wanna hear
Baby, take it slow so we can last long

[Verse 1: Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee]
¡Oh!

[Coro: Justin Bieber & Luis Fonsi / Daddy Yankee]
Despacito
Quiero respirar tu cuello despacito
Deja que te diga cosas al oído
Para que te acuerdes si no estás conmigo
Despacito
Quiero desnudarte a besos despacito
Firmo en las paredes de tu laberinto
Y hacer de tu cuerpo todo un manuscrito
(Sube, sube, sube
Sube, sube)

[Bridge 1: Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee]
Quiero ver bailar tu pelo, quiero ser tu ritmo (woah, woah)
Que le enseñes a mi boca (woah, woah)
Tus lugares favoritos (favorito, favorito, baby)
Déjame sobrepasar tus zonas de peligro (woah, woah)
Hasta provocar tus gritos (woah, woah)
Y que olvides tu apellido

[Verse 2: Daddy Yankee]
Quiero, quiero, quiero ver cuánto amor a ti te cabe
Yo no tengo prisa, yo me quiero dar el viaje
Empecemos lento, después salvaje

[Bridge 2: Daddy Yankee & Justin Bieber / Daddy Yankee]
Pasito a pasito, suave suavecito
Nos vamos pegando, poquito a poquito
Cuando tú me besas con esa destreza
Veo que eres malicia con delicadeza
Pasito a pasito, suave suavecito
Nos vamos pegando, poquito a poquito
Y es que esa belleza es un rompecabezas
Pero pa’ montarlo aquí tengo la pieza
¡Oye!

[Coro: Justin Bieber & Luis Fonsi / Daddy Yankee]
Despacito
Quiero respirar tu cuello despacito
Deja que te diga cosas al oído
Para que te acuerdes si no estás conmigo
Despacito
Quiero desnudarte a besos despacito
Firmo en las paredes de tu laberinto
Y hacer de tu cuerpo todo un manuscrito
(Sube, sube, sube
Sube, sube)

[Bridge 1: Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee]
Quiero ver bailar tu pelo, quiero ser tu ritmo (woah, woah)
Que le enseñes a mi boca (woah, woah)
Tus lugares favoritos (favorito, favorito, baby)
Déjame sobrepasar tus zonas de peligro (woah, woah)
Hasta provocar tus gritos (woah, woah)
Y que olvides tu apellido

[Verse 3: Luis Fonsi]
Despacito
This is how we do it down in Puerto Rico
I just wanna hear you screaming, “¡Ay, Bendito!”
I can move forever cuando esté contigo
¡Bailalo!

[Bridge 3: Daddy Yankee, Luis Fonsi & Justin Bieber]
Pasito a pasito, suave suavecito
Nos vamos pegando, poquito a poquito
Que le enseñes a mi boca
Tus lugares favoritos
(Favorito, favorito, baby)
Pasito a pasito, suave suavecito
Nos vamos pegando, poquito a poquito
Hasta provocar tus gritos (Fonsi)
Y que olvides tu apellido (D.Y.)
Despacito

Justin Bieber – Maserati Lyrics

JUSTIN BIEBER
Maserati Lyrics

(Jaden Smith & Justin Bieber)
Ah
What’s up Jaden?
I’m feeling nice right now
I’m feeling good to bro
I’m feeling really nice right now
Swag
Swaggy
I’m in my closet right now
Literally in your closet?
I’m literally in my closet right now recording this song like a g
Misfits
You are a g bro
You’re a wrap
You’re a wrap bro
Ah swag
Swaggy, swaggy, swaggy, swaggy
(Jaden Smith)
Oh, I ain’t never met a groupie
All I meet is ladies
And I like my privacy
So I got a Mercedes
Got these chokers shaking
Reminding me have hated
Sorry ’bout the security
It’s only for your safety
Cause baby I’ll be pimpin’
Holler if you see me
I’m probably in Miami
With my girl in a bikini
Text me if you need me
Touch me if you’re greedy
‘Cause you’ll probably be with Nicki
While she says Waikiki
How we the illest and the youngest?
I really don’t know how we the killest and the dumbest
Swear it’s really early
But I don’t know where the sun is
And girl just take my hand
While I knock away these hundreds
Cause the crowd is going crazy
Money coming in bundles
Sorry that I couldn’t see you
It’s hard to see through my stunners
Dumb blondes be sayin’ I’m the funnest
All I’m hearing is claps
Though I don’t know where the drum is
Girl you like it
So just give me the mic
And I’ll get you so excited
Tell me what you want
I’ll go home and write it
To a old school beat
Baby take your lip and bite it
Oh jeez
Girl you got me and you gon’ make me work
Cause it’s usually a hobby
And no I really like you
And no it’s not your body
But trust me that’s a plus
Cause you’re hotter than wasabi
And I’m diggin’ on your kicks
Jokers talking ’bout karate
When I want a girl I just whip out the Maserati
No I can’t drive it
It’s only for the show
And I like to wear the (?)
Watch them circus glow
Girl I’m on like a light bulb
Are you coming home from the night club?
‘Cause I tried to get in but I ain’t reached the height limit
That might be over but the night isn’t so I’m
So text me if you tryna chill with Wesley
Cause me and Mandy are chillin’
So don’t wear nothing dressy
Inside jokes are only funny when you get them
So (?) is the place to be (?) and I’m living in them dance halls
Alright J I think I got it from here
Justin Bieber
Headphones on yeah
Turn them up a little bit
(Justin Bieber)
Baby I’m the man
I felt that you knew that
I’m now in Japan
Just because I do that
So baby don’t you stop it
Baby can you drop it
I give you my chain
I style like Kentucky
Money on my mind
And you on my mind
Too much on my mind
Too big for my time
And everybody know that
Baby I’m the man
Can’t you understand
Keep you wondering
If I’m the wonderman
And you’re in wonderland
Hey my name is JB
I’m always rocking Vans
And if I was your boyfriend
I would love you till the end
I’d kiss your face in public
You can tell all of your friends
Baby girl you got that body
Would you like to go to France?
We can fly there on my jet babe
I can give you jetlag
I don’t do Jamaica baby
I can make you sweat babe
And if you ain’t in the crew
You’ll never get this
Posted at the crib with the Misfits
