Meek Mill Desperately Need A Reggae Song, Fans Suggest Popcaan & Shenseea

Meek Mill says he needs a reggae song badly and fans are pointing him to Popcaan and Shenseea, two of the leading Jamaican artists right now.

Meek Mill‘s most recent album, Championships, was released in 2018, but the artiste could not be described as slacking off in his music career. Since Championships‘ release, he’s collaborated with a slew of other artistes, including Drake, Ella Mai, and, most recently, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, and Lil Uzi Vert.

Currently, he has two new tracks out: Sharing Locations featuring Lil Baby and Lil Durk and Blue Notes2 with Lil Uzi Vert, which dropped on September 1st.

After a three-year wait, fans are eager to discover what he’s been working on behind the scenes for his new album. Fans were granted their wish over the weekend when Meek conducted a Q&A session where he tweeted out, “Album done so soon!” much to their excitement and relief.

However, it seems it may not be as soon as fans may think. On August 30th, AStyle Alive queried the possibility of Meek doing a reggae-style song.

“@meekmill wassup with Meek on a reggae vibe type a track?? #TapIn,” he tweeted.

To the surprise of fans, Mill responded, “I want a reggae song badddddddddd as s*it on my album … one I can rap on.”

I want a reggae song badddddddddd as shit on my album … one I can rap on https://t.co/Fx4oZ3vYYk

— Meek Mill (@MeekMill) August 31, 2021

Without missing a beat, producer, AStyle Alive addressed Meek’s earlier tweet stating, “I got that Dancehall beat locked and ready to send. Tell #NickPapz I want him in on the greatness too. His beats are raw. #ForTheCulture #IShareTheWealth @MeekMill.”

— Astyle Alive (@AstyleAlive) September 1, 2021

Since then, he has continued to hype his fans up, requesting that they send tweets to Meek in an effort to get the production of the dancehall track started.

Despite Meek Mill noting that he is passionate about including a reggae vibed track on his album, which may delay the upcoming release, fans are excited to see what this Dancehall-infused rap track will look like for him. They are also curious to see which big names he will collaborate with on this track, as fans already have their eyes on two possible Jamaican performers, Shenseea and Popcaan.

Last year, Meek was spotted in the studio with Shenseea, and whatever they were cooking up may hopefully be seen on her upcoming album. The rapper also visited Jamaica last year March and linked up with the Unruly Boss. It seems these events might have had a hand in his desire to get some Caribbean flavor on his album.

Nevertheless, the rapper will have to bring his A-game to stand out amongst the recent album releases by some of music’s top heavyweights. From Kanye West’s, DONDA, to soon-to-be-released Certified Lover Boy by Drake, Meek’s diehard supporters are still highly anticipating his impending album.

Thus the pressures are high for his upcoming album, so it is no surprise to fans that he is being as meticulous as possible. Fortunately, they can expect his album release in short order.

JT & Lil Uzi Vert Gushes Over Each Other After He Gifted Her A Louis Vuitton Bag

JT and Lil Uzi Vert can’t stop gushing over each other.

The love affair between the City Girls rapper and Lil Uzi Vert has been confirmed, the two have not been shy about displaying their affection for each other for the world to see. When he is not sending her crab legs or other tokens; He is gifting her expensive brand name items. His latest gift to his boo is a new Louis Vuitton bag.

As is the usual style, they share everything with their fans, and this gift is no different. JT posted a photo of the very exquisite bag with the caption, “Thanks for spoiling me, treating me like a queen, the consistency, the things behind the scenes! You always doing your big one for me! Making it harder for the next exclusive lurkin.”

In response, Lil Uzi Vert wrote, “Your friendship and love is worth more than ALL THIS STUFF…Thank you. just thank you.”

It has only been about a month since the two confirmed they were in a relationship. For a long time, there was some speculation with neither partying giving into the hype and buzz. However, in early March, they both confirmed they were indeed together. Since then, the two have constantly been very affectionate online and have been sighted in public out and about.

The pair also seem to spend a lot of time online defending each other, and they are now surrounded by enormous bouts of drama. It can be either a comment or action that has drawn the ire of their respective fans, but both parties seem to delight in addressing just about everything. Just a few days ago, JT was online telling off fans about an attempt made to stir up trouble with Lil Uzi and her fellow city girl member Yung Miami. From all indications, both herself and Yung Miami seem to still have a pretty good relationship, and she even commented on JT’s new gift writing the fire emoji.

In regards to the fans’ responses, some praised the happy couple wishing them well, while a large number of them seem tired of the JT and Lil Uzi Vert saga and their constant drama.

Clearly, fans don’t view the relationship as one of substance and believe that the pair is focused solely on material things. They note that for them, this is definitely not “couple goals.”

Another user bragged, “I can get that at Aldo for 40,” taking a swipe at the price tag for the bag, which is reportedly 40K and upwards of 300K.

One fan also likened JT and Uzi’s relationship to Saweetie and Quavo’s. Does this mean that a bitter end is also in the future for this pairing?

JT Responds To Lil Uzi Vert Seemingly Saying He Bought Her First Birkin Bag

Lil Uzi Vert and JT took to social media earlier today with a rather exciting exchange which has fans puzzled as to the status of their relationship.

Both rappers always seem to be having some form of public confrontation online. The most interesting part is no one can confirm if they are even together or seem to love “shading” each other. In the latest episode between the rapper and City Girl’s artiste, Uzi is saying he gifted JT with her first Birkin. He tweeted, “Don’t act like I ain’t get you ya first Birkin.”

Fans were quick to point out that Lil Uzi Vert was referring to JT in his post. In response to fans’ inquiries, JT posted, “Why everything he say y’all think towards me is looked at as bad? Lol. How is that shade?”

She later tweeted that Uzi was not shading her, and in fact, she was even texting him. She tweeted a response saying, “I’m texting him right now! He wasn’t. STFU, stop always minding ppl business reading it with a negative mind for I make your n***a shade you.”

Since around 2019, JT and Lil Uzi Vert have been linked together romantically, but neither have confirmed this to be true. In fact, JT denied the rumors during an interview on The Breakfast Club.

We are not quite sure what’s up with these two, but we are sure it will all come out one day. In the meantime, JT refuses to allow Uzi’s tweets to throw her off, and she closed out this round declaring, “Nothing shady about having birkin pu**y!”

Well, we guess that’s that.

Lil Uzi Vert Names Mike Jones Among Top 5 Most Influential Rappers

Mike Jones gets his flowers from Lil Uzi Vert.

It’s always interesting when rappers reveal who the most influential voices were leading up to their success. Lil Uzi Vert revealed his influences while being interviewed on The Fat Joe Show on Instagram Live last Thursday night (Feb. 11). Uzi made the appearance, of course, sporting his $24 million diamond forehead piercing. During the interview, he revealed the top five artists that helped make him the rapper he is today. The first rapper he mentioned was Mike Jones.

“The first rapper that I ever learned lyric for lyric was Mike Jones. That’s the first rapper I learned everything lyric for lyric, and I wanted to be like him. I had a Boost Mobile and my mom would give me $15 and I’d get phone cards and shit and I would spend all my money calling Mike Jones’ number ’cause I wanted to talk to him,” he said.

He even remembered the Houston rapper’s phone number and shared it with fans. “I remember the number by heart. Right now, to this day: 281-330-8004. I felt that star power from him. He had that star power.”

As he moved through his list of influences, he mentioned Lil Wayne, whose style he admitted he actually tried to emulate. “I wanted to be Lil Wayne. When I was younger, girls would say I looked like Lil Wayne, so I would run with that. And I would wear the fedoras, and I would wear the tight Polo tees with the skinnies, and wear the Vans and sh*t,” he added. He also said that he ordered a fake piercing off of Amazon, which had a magnet. He wore the fake piercing below his lip every day so that he could feel more like Lil Wayne.

He also praised his aunt Remy Ma, for some of his success. “I got a gangsta aunt and my aunt definitely a little different. She one of them girls from the hood that was the DMX fan and the Remy Ma fan,” he said.

Another rapper that had a major influence on him was Kurupt, who Vert said had that “East Coast mentality but that West Coast swag. He also mentioned Young Thug, who he described as a “mythical creature.”

“This was later in my life. So, I used to listen to I Came From Nothing, I Came From Nothing 2. I used to watch on YouTube when Young Thug used to perform at the little like skating rink shits. The reason that he was such an influence to me was because he was almost like a mythical creature back then,” he said.

He continued on to say that he always knew that Young Thug would be successful. “I actually knew before the public. Not even before the public. I’m not from Atlanta, so everybody out there knew about that man before me. Atlanta and around Atlanta, Georgia or whatever. But, just where I was from, I felt like I was the first person in the fu**in’ world that was listening to him. I felt like that.”

Lil Uzi Vert Addresses Accusations Of Cultural Appropriation With Diamond Implant

Lil Uzi Vert is fending off accusations that he is a culture appropriator after fans took to social media to react to his latest gimmick of having a diamond reportedly valued at $24 million “implanted” into his forehead in the center.

Lil Uzi Vert made headlines last week as the photos showing him with the precious rock in his sore and bleeding skin went viral online. He defended comments that said the implanting of the precious stone was cultural appropriation since it resembles some parts of Indian culture.

Uzi quote tweeted photos which were taken from an Indian television series called ‘Mahabharat’ the following: “I’m just an average dude.” The accompanying photos showed men and women whose faces are decorated with what is called a “bindi.”

A person on his thread responded, “where r all the people saying cultural appropriation? I guess it doesn’t matter when it’s Asian cultures,” she said.

A firestorm of responses dragging Uzi accused him of committing the grave offense of cultural appropriation, which is basically copying aspects of a culture without acknowledging the cultural significance or background of practice and also claiming to have invented said practice.

Lil Uzi Vert defended himself against the claim saying, “Hey glad to see you sharing your thoughts and knowledge. But I’m not mimicking anything I know about a lot and love different forms of art… do you even know where the images is from? Honestly, I love y’all [red heart emoji].”

Despite his attempt at clearing things up, there were mixed reactions to the rapper’s posts. In the first instance, it seems that Uzi shared the photos to normalize his new diamond in forehead look as he shared others wearing forehead bindis. One fan said, “Uzi really said ‘guys it’s not weird, it’s just cultural appropriation’.”

In some Asian cultures, the forehead decoration is called a bindi, and the wearing of the bindi has nothing to do with fashion. There is actually a very deep meaning behind it that not many people take the time to learn and understand. The bindi is symbolic of the “third eye” or Ajna chakra- an esoteric concept of an invisible eye –which is in the middle of the forehead and center of the brows.

A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom)

The chakras, according to Hinduism, have areas of concentrated energy, and there are seven chakras that run along the center of the body (picture the points sitting along the spine from top to bottom). The importance of the third eye is it is considered the eye of intuition and intellect, and when something is seen in the mind’s eye or in a dream, it is also seen by the Ajna. The bindi’s purpose is to enhance the powers of the chakra by one’s ability to access inner wisdom and allowing the one wearing the bindi to see the world in a truthful, unbiased manner while forsaking ego and false labels.

The concept of the chakras has been adopted in Western cultures as many delve into meditation and yoga, often re-branding it in a way that makes it trendy, which has led to the owners of the culture to criticize the commercialization of this ancient way of life and healing by westerners.

Many Hollywood celebrities have been seen wearing bindis, including the likes of Vanessa Hudgens, Gwen Stefani, Selena Gomez, who wore them as a fashion accessory that drew cultural appropriation criticisms. However, many Indians tend to be happy when they see outsiders embrace Indian culture. However, many urge that acknowledging the importance of the Bindi is far more respectful than just using something as important to the culture to be just a fashion statement.

Meanwhile, a few of Uzi’s fans alluded to his having in his bio that he is Asian on the inside and that he is inspired by Asian culture. We know he loves Manga and Japanese culture, but it seems that Lil Uzi Vert is far more culturally immersed and exposed than his followers.

now see I know Indians not about to be like omg cultural appreciation because they're probably gassed af uzi admires their culture we're the only ones gate keeping shit https://t.co/yJhEEabnki

[Verse 1: Lil Uzi Vert]
No, statistically, I can’t win every time
But you know the score prolly like ten to three
And them three times that I had to take an L
I remember them boys tried to finish me
Said we roll a ‘Wood, I roll like fifty L’s
They say, “How you keep all of that energy?”
‘Cause I can’t go back to the hood where them niggas could send at me
I remember livin’ right next to my enemy (Woah)
Now I got too much money, I could blow up your whole facility (Yeah, yeah)
Gettin’ too much money, I can build me a new facility (Lil Uzi Vert, yeah, yeah)

[Verse 2: Future]

Got the new bitch, get on the cake
Got that lemon squeeze for the trigger play
Got some red toes, she on the way

Rose gold diamonds same color Hen’
Cops tryna arrest me, I’m gone in the wind
You cannot catch me or none of my friends
You know that Richard Mille cost me a Benz
You know we get it poppin’ on my end
You see these blue face Benjamins
See the way these diamonds sittin’ off the lens
You know we comin’ in number one
You know we gon’ kill the whole summer too
You know I’m blowin’ up like an atomic bomb
You know it ain’t nothin’ to do
And I’m steppin’, I’m steppin’ in one-of-ones
Margielas got me walkin’ on the moon
All this money got me like I’m on shrooms
Drankin’ yellow, feelin’ like a tycoon

G Herbo – Ptsd Lyrics (feat. Juice Wrld, Chance The Rapper & Lil Uzi Vert)

[Intro]
D.A. got that-
D.A. got that dope

[Chorus: Juice WRLD]
I turn the news on, when I smell death in the air
I prove you wrong, I made it out of here
I don’t belong, I see my past everywhere
Don’t stand too close to me, eternal PTSD
I got a warzone inside of my head
I made it on my own
They said I’d be in jail or dead
I’ve seen my brothers fall, over and over again
Don’t stand too close to me, I got PTSD

[Verse 1: G Herbo]
I was hearing bangs like Chief Keef
Always yelling names, that’s deceased
I go off my mind and my instinct
Shootin’ at the same time, we was in sync
On the same thing, tryna repeat
We was in them whips, right back on the enemies
Stuffed on my last hit, I was in the middle seat
f**k it out the sun roof, brodie got a quick release
And we in a car real fast for police
Shots fired back but his ass in the street
When I bought a forty, showed Brittany & Tiffany
Knowing if they call, it ain’t shit they can’t get from me
Lot of warfare 17 had a 50 piece
Flexed on niggas so you know they wanna kill a G (Royalty)
Posted in the hood with some Bentley keys (Loyalty)
Roc died, showed ’em what it really mean
I can’t sleep ’cause it’s a warzone in my head
My killers good, they know I’m hands on with the bread
A million dollars ahead, I’m still angry and seeing red
How the f**k I’m ‘posed to have fun? All my niggas dead

[Verse 2: Chance The Rapper]
Used to run home from the train stop (Yeah)
Runnin’ so fast dodgin’ rain drops
‘Member got robbed at the park once (Yeah)
‘Member thinkin’ that that bitch probably ain’t caught
‘Member I was with my mama one time
Seen a nigga through the glass, hit a nigga with a bankshot (Bah)
Point blank, head hanging off his tank top
Walked off, we drove off, went to GameStop (Skrrt)
Quiet ride there, picked up San Andreas (Huh)
Certain things we ain’t talk about, mama, we just prayed off
We seen it all, don’t get involved
Carry the weight of the world like a shawl
Conceal and revealing to people in court
I still can feel it, I know that the world is evil
In case you thought a nigga forgot it
When my homie was bleeding out, another homie went in his pockets (Shh)
Please do not run up on me, not even as fans
Niggas get fanned down on the Dan Ryan
I’m flyin’, I’m scary as hell, I need me a Xan, ah

[Verse 3: Juice WRLD & Lil Uzi Vert]
The days seem long as life gets shorter
We know sex, drugs, money, all in that order
Ain’t no structure, no peace, we’ve lost our order
Leaving me with anxiety, f**king up my sobriety (Lil Uzi Vert, yeah)
It’s a warzone layin’ inside my head
I still think about all my niggas that’s dead
I’m too paranoid, yeah, I know you heard what I said
I’m too paranoid, I make sure all my opps they bled
Drainin’ all my energy, no, I can not sleep, uh-huh
I’m affected by the streets, no appetite, I can’t eat
I only see red when I see, I think it’s my PTSD (Yeah)
I think it’s my PTSD (Woah), I think it’s my PTSD, yeah (Woah)

[Outro: Juice WRLD]
I turn the news on, when I smell death in the air

Pass her to my bros like ain’t shit changed and we look like yeah (Yeah)
And I’m smokin’ on this dope
Taking Xans ’til I can’t feel my face and I look like yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
(Greedy Money)
Yeah, yeah

Denzel Curry – WISH Lyrics

Play this song

[Intro]
He’s heating up
Oh damn

[Chorus: Denzel Curry]
Dreads to the top, gold in my mouth, woaday
Hoes by the flock, no, let me stop, woaday
And I keep a Glock, nah, it’s a Glock .40
Hands on a knot, hands on your bop, woaday
She gon’ bust it open for a nigga in designer
That’s gon’ be the reason why she let you get behind her
You might be the nigga that’s gon’ probably wine and dine her
I’ma take her home only usin’ one-liners

[Verse 1: Denzel Curry]
Pull up in an navigator truck, Excursion
Bad bitch on the side of me, half Persian
I don’t got a car, but I got car service
So many chains, make a, uh, feel nervous
Wait, I meant to say my chick from Nicaragua
Put her on the team ’cause we both makin’ dollars
Hit her with the stroke, get her wet like aqua
If she was a bop, I would hit, then I’ll drop her
Hang with the bros ’cause you know blood thicker
I miss my vros, so we pour more liquor
And you don’t want smoke, you don’t want no Swisher
‘Cause you don’t want war with a South Florida nigga
Miami-Dade on my motherfuckin’ back
I’m Polo’d down to the socks to the nutsack
It’s R.I.P. X and R.I.P. Tree
I’ma do it for my dawg, this for all of my G’s

[Chorus: Denzel Curry]
Dreads to the top, gold in my mouth, woaday
Hoes by the flock, no, let me stop, woaday
And I keep a Glock, nah, it’s a Glock .40
Hands on a knot, hands on your back, woaday
She gon’ bust it open for a nigga in designer
That’s gon’ be the reason why she let you get behind her
You might be the nigga that’s gon’ probably wine and dine her
I’ma take her home only usin’ one-liners

[Verse 2: Kiddo Marv]
Bossed up, came a long way from bein’ a manager
Glocks up with the sticks and the clips lookin’ like banana-na
Never pay for pussy, these bitches ain’t gettin’ nuh-uh
My name alone gon’ make me press on your ho like a button
In my city ridin’ vert to Uzi, Lil Uzi Vert
Every week another funeral, only time we go to church
Runnin’ all these rappers down a check, they wanna splurge it
Step up in the scene, so fresh, so clean, like a detergent
Quick to cut a pussy nigga up just like a surgeon
I’ma need a Perky ’cause a young nigga be hurtin’
Slidin’ like a Taliban with a turban
Pull up all black in a suburban
‘Cause he ain’t die, so we gotta slide back my grill
Pay my young nigga to get you whacked for five figures
They gon’ rip him, flip him, cut his ass up
Put him in a box, and ship him, yup

[Chorus: Denzel Curry]
Dreads to the top, gold in my mouth, woaday
Hoes by the flock, no, let me stop, woaday
And I keep a Glock, nah, it’s a Glock .40
Hands on a knot, hands on your back, woaday
She gon’ bust it open for a nigga in designer
That’s gon’ be the reason why she let you get behind her

Pour another four in my one liter, liter
Need to re-up, re-up

Playboi Carti – That Girl (Rocket) (feat. Lil Uzi Vert) lyrics

[Intro]
Yeah
That be Maaly Raw
Now, now is my time
Now is my time
That be Maaly Raw

[Verse 1: Lil Uzi Vert]
Everybody rock with me because I’m up now
Took your girl and I’ma score, like I made the touch-down
Swervin’ and the Lambo doors go up, not on the bus now
Used to want a G-Shock, now I’m walking with a bust down
Pull up and I’m flooding with an iced out watch
Whip it look like butter baby, pecan drop
Pick and drop, put that phone, handsome drop
Stack my knots, count a lot, saw a lot
Got them rocks, Diamond rocks, whip the pot
Suicide, 1600, that’s the block
Hit your girl that’s check free
She ain´t used to text me
Now she won’t caress me
She keep tryna neck me
I got’ tell my bestie, someone call my bestie
Think I found my bestie, link up make the check bleed
You know that I’m smoking dope, I’ll be high til’ next week
Know I had to let her go, cause she can’t arrest me

[Chorus: Playboi Carti]
Woke up with my toolie, what it do?
Meet me in the ally with the troops
I got red shooters, I got blue
Let that thing down then point at you
Bentley or a Rari, hol’at chu
We gon’ the rob the bank, brain lose
We gon’ take the boy back to school
Money on the floor just like some shoes

[Verse 2: Lil Uzi Vert]
Stackin’, Rackin’, all of this and I’m packin’
My life it is like a movie minus all the actin’
Jacket, jack it, yeah it’s made of rabbit
Diamonds on my neck and wrist they compliment that karats
You ain’t nuthin’ but a mockingbird, boy you a parrot!
Oops, yeah my bad, that’s your girl? We could share it
Might buy her diamonds and pearls, but can’t marry
She, said my D-Bomb like a terrorist
He, thinkin’ he on but man, that’s barely
We, rock all white ice look like dairy
Kids, my red hellcat it sound scary
Please, you talk shit and you get buried
See, ain’t no fuck nigga around me
I said free my dogs from the county
Yeah, the ones on the run from the bounty
Yeah, diamonds they so wet, need some bounty

[Chorus: Playboi Carti]
Woke up with my toolie, what it do?
Meet me in the ally with the troops
I got red shooters, I got blue
Let that thing down then point at you
Bentley or a Rari, hol’at chu
We gon the rob the bank, brain lose
We gon take the boy back to school
Money on the floor just like some shoes

A$AP Rocky – Who Run It [Freestyle] Lyrics

[Intro]
You know what I’m saying?
Still that nigga man, Yeah the lord’s back
Know what I’m saying, they say pearls are for a pretty boy
Shout outs my nigga G-Herbo, my nigga Lil Uzi Vert one time
Shout out Three Six Mafia

[Verse 1]
I don’t play like your parents son
Thought I made that apparent
Thats a hundred for a ‘Claren or something
‘nother hundred for a parison
Race Tyler, the McLaren
Drive ‘Raris like Ferrison
Cop my Karats from Carring dammit
Make a bitch wanna stare, or something
Niggas stare, you queer son
You’s a bitch, yeah we stay done
Chose a whip but I’m staying sunny
Diamonds sunny like I’m Cher or something
Smiley faces with the glasses
Fashion brands invite you to Paris
Boy you late that’s a demerit, dang it
Get fucking maggot brain having
Rappers claiming the trap and the fashion
They only got Louis and the trap
Im causing the flood and the traffic
The way that you be moving is whack
All of them rumours is facts
They’ve been in clap for the clapback
Your baby mama a nag nag
Nag nag nag nag

[Chorus]
Who run it? Who run it?
New money blue hundreds
Two hundred, on the dash
Bastard life, who run it?
Catch a blue hundred
I do run it, I do run it
I do run it, I do run it

Lil Uzi Vert Says Kanye West Never “Think About Himself” When?

When is Kanye West ever not thinking about himself? Lil Uzi Vert answered that for us.

Seems Yeezy has been helping Lil Uzi Vert turn his swag up, who can forget that shirt he wore last year. Surprisingly, the G.O.O.D. Music chief has kept a low profile over the past year following a disastrous end to his Saint Pablo Tour just over a year ago. Only a handful of artists have gotten a chance to be around him recently and if you noticed he wasn’t even at the Grammys last weekend.

Kanye and Uzi have been hanging out with each other a lot lately like they’re now bros. The pair were spotted shopping in New York City earlier this month and a few days ago they were spotted hanging out with ASAP Bari in the Big Apple. It’s unclear what they are up to, but Ye has been working on a new album for months now. MTV News caught up with Lil Uzi Vert on the red carpet at the Grammys on Sunday and asked him about his interaction with Kanye while shopping. What do you think Kanye thinks about when he is out doing some retail therapy.

“He’s never thinking about himself,” Uzi said. “It’s weird. He was grabbing everything for his family. He said ‘I don’t even get dressed anymore, I swag out my family… In that moment I realized: gotta swag out the whole family.”

Interestingly, the “XO Tour Life” rapper says he didn’t want Ye to give him any fashion ideas so he bolted to the far end of the store to pick out his own outfits. Uzi also addressed his recent comments on social media about anybody being over 30 is old. While he didn’t get any Grammy nominations, the young rapper had a phenomenal year in hip hop with a few bangers.

Lil Uzi Vert Says If Your Over 30 Years Old You’re Lame

Lil Uzi Vert thinks if you’re over 30 years old then you’re lame.

Uzi has been ranting on Twitter since last weekend over his record deal with DJ Drama and last night he fired off a few disses aimed at his older fans or perhaps any other rapper over a certain age. Uzi himself is 23 and there is this ongoing feud between the younger artists and the old heads with both sides constantly criticizing each other’s music. “If you 30 years old you lame,” he tweeted.

“And when I say opps and 32nd just know I’m only talking 32 years and up cause I’m rocking wit all the young ni***,” he added on Twitter. After getting some backlash from some hip hop fans on the social media network, Lil Uzi Vert back off his statement saying that he was only joking.

“This why I say y’all lame I’m just playing wit y’all old people if It wasn’t for ya wrinkly self I wouldn’t be here so love me and be mad at ya self hope you live another 60 years,” he added on his Twitter timeline.

This why I say y’all lame I’m just playing wit y’all old people if It wasn’t for ya wrinkly self I wouldn’t be here … so love me and be mad at ya self ?? hope you live another 60 years ??

— Uzi London ????® (@LILUZIVERT) January 16, 2018

Some fans are already saving the tweets to show it to him in a few years time when he turns 30.

[Chorus]
Yeah
Fuck these niggas ’cause they always bein’ extra
All these diamonds on me, I don’t feel no pressure (no)
Money comin’ in like I am an investor (yeah)
She tried to take a break, but I already left her (bye-bye)
Whoa
When I’m in my car, yeah
Look up at the stars, just like, "whoa" (oh, whoa)
No feelings involved, yeah

Lil Uzi Vert Brought Meek Mill Son Papi On Stage At Philly Concert [Video]

Lil Uzi Vert surprised his fans at his Philly tour stop last weekend by bringing Meek Mill‘s son Papi on stage.

The “XO Tour Llif3” rapper also brought out A$AP Ferg, Pharrell Williams, and Nicki Minaj on his last show off his “A Very Uzi Christmas Tour.” Meek’s son graced the stage to loud cheers from the home crowd while his raps along to his father’s classic single “Dreams and Nightmares.” Meek Mill is currently serving time in prison for probation violation. Last month he was sentenced to 2-4 years behind bars by a judge who has beef with him over some age old issues.

The youngster was almost to tears while Meek’s song was being played as he held the microphone up to the crowd to finish the verse. The touching moment was all captured on camera and makes his father’s sentencing seems all the more unjust. Lil Uzi Vert has had a great year after touring extensively with The Weekend and scoring one of the biggest hits of the year with his single “XO Tour Llif3.” He even scored a collaboration with Nicki Minaj who openly said that she wants to work with the rap star.

Nicki Minaj and Lil Uzi Vert drops the long awaited video for their collaboration “The Way Life Goes (Remix).”

The cut was directed by DAPS and kicked off with Lil Uzi being tied up to a tree and a dog growling at him. The clip then switches over to Nicki Minaj in a cabin dressing skimpy with a knife in her hand gyrating and plotting while Uzi Vert is tied up in the woods with a grave already dug nearby.

The video continues to nightfall where the “XO Tour Life” rapper gets murdered by a seductive femme fatale. Lil Uzi Vert is struggling to quit drugs following the untimely death of rapper Lil Peep.

Since his death from a drug overdose on November 15th, Lil Peep friends and fans have been speaking out against drugs in a movement that has been gaining traction on Twitter. Several celebrities including Wiz Khalifa has spoken out against some drugs including lean, aka sizzurp, that is popular in hip hop culture. Now Lil Uzi Vert is saying he wants to be drug-free but it’s posing a challenge for him and he is not shy about it.

Rip Buddy I 100% Understand and I Don’t Fault U.” He then sent out a second tweet joking about having some withdrawal symptoms. “Sober 2 day I have been shaking,” he continues. “I have been cursing my love ones out and fighting. Nicki Minaj Shoots Video With Lil Uzi Vert Compares Him To Lil Wayne

Nicki Minaj shoots a new video with Lil Uzi Vert but it’s her statement about Lil Wayne that grabs headlines.

The Young Money femcee drops a video clip on Instagram last night of herself and Lil Uzi Vert hanging out on set. Earlier this month, the pair drop the remix for “The Way Life Goes” and that track has since become Nicki’s 82nd Billboard Hot 100 entries. “This dat Nicki. This dat UZI. Who’s ready for the video?” she wrote. “This just became my 82nd Billboard Hot 100 Entry. Thank you guys so much. #TheWayLifeGoesREMIX #Motorsport was my 81st. Barbie working but u ain’t seen nuffin yet!”

Nicki Minaj was also high as sh** and she made sure that she pointed that out before anyone started judging her. “Congratulations, we high as sh*t,” she said. “We feelin’ really good right now. We on the set of the video. It’s just a pleasure to work with him.” Nicki added that Lil Uzi Vert reminds him of his label boss, the man who gave her her first big record deal, Lil Wayne. “He just reminds me so much of Tunechi (Lil Wayne) so everytime I see him, I’m always like, ‘aww, my little baby,’ because he just gives me the Lil Tunechi vibe. And so because of that, I love him. And I love this f***in’ song. Shout out to our fans and all of that. We’re about to give you a killer video.”

Some fans are already questioning Nicki Minaj’s sanity for comparing a young and new artist like Lil Uzi Vert to one of our generation’s most influential rappers and arguably one of the greatest rappers of all time, Lil Wayne. They do share some similarities in that Weezy often refers to himself as a rockstar and Uzi also sees himself in that light.

This dat Nicki.?This dat UZI. ??Who’s ready for the video? – This just became my 82nd Billboard Hot 100 Entry. Thank you guys so much. #TheWayLifeGoesREMIX #Motorsport was my 81st. Barbie working but u ain’t seen nuffin yet! ??

Lil Uzi Vert – 20 Min Lyrics

[Pre-Chorus]
I said girl why you keep callin’
I said girl why you keep callin’ (yeah)
She said I need new whip (yeah)
‘Cause I know you still ballin’
She just wanna go back to the future
So I bought that girl a DeLorean
Twenty one minutes until I gotta go
So I told that girl that I’m gonna slaughter it

[Chorus]
I met that girl right up at my show
Left her man in the crowd on the floor
Out of town never saw her before
Tell her, baby we don’t got that long
Listen, this is not my city show, but I treat it like my city show
Twenty more minutes until I’m on
Twenty more minutes until I’m on
Twenty more minutes until I’m on
Twenty more minutes until I’m on
Twenty more minutes until I’m on
Twenty more minutes until I’m on (Yea)
I am not small, these girls just want me ’cause I got the dough
Pass that girl right on my friend give her coke
He pass me her friend so they switching roles

[Verse 1]
I hit it fast, yeah I hit it slow
Bye bye the morning girl, I gotta go
I gotta get ready tonight is my show
If you okay you might open my show
Got pointers right under my nose
These niggas mad, cause I got all the dough
These niggas mad, cause I got all the dough
Changing my style cause I got every flow
Got every girl ain’t no topping my hoes
I understand that is your girlfriend bro
But you know I gotta keep her close
Open your legs and I keep em closed
Living on a edge, on a tightrope
I am so clean I might start moving soap
Driving a new ‘Rari I don’t need a new
Drive a Bugatti like it’s a Volvo
I got your girl and you already know
Don’t really like her we friends for the most
Cuban the truck all on my choker
Don’t leave the crumb
Got the bread then you toast
If you start touchin’ my gun, got no holst’
I put a coat on top of my coat
Only 20 more minutes
Before the show

[Chorus]
I met that girl right up at my show
Left her man in the crowd on the floor
Out of town never saw her before
Tell her, baby we don’t got that long
Listen, this is not my city show, but I treat it like my city show

[Verse 2]
Damn I just started it, man I just started it
Oh my god please do not bother me
Don’t got enough just to order me
I’m on that tree like an ornament
Money so long like a cardigan
You lied to me wasn’t sorry then
On the weekend you was partying
It was just me you was targeting
It was just me you was targeting
Just in the Porsche I might target it
Jump in the Lamb I ain’t parkin’ it (skrr)
Go to my show they applaud me in
She call my phone with that emergency
She call my phone with that urgency

[Pre-Chorus]
I said girl why you keep callin’
I said girl why you keep callin’ (yeah)
She said I need new whip (yeah)

Lil Uzi Vert & Nav New Single “Wanted You” Drops Tomorrow

Lil Uzi Vert and Nav have teamed up for a new single “Wanted You” dropping on Friday, but will likely be released on Thursday night.

The XO artist announced the track on Instagram on Wednesday telling his fans it’s coming tomorrow night. The Toronto singer joined forces with Metro Boomin during the summer to release a new project titled Perfect Timing. Since then he has kept a low profile but that’s about to change. Lil Uzi Vert has developed a close working relationship with the XO family through touring with The Weeknd. One of the biggest singles of his career is titled “XO Tour Life.”

Nav posted the artwork for the single “Wanted You” around two hours ago on IG with the caption, “Tomorrow night.” He didn’t reveal any additional details about the project other than to confirm that it’s coming on Thursday night. Seems like it will be a banger too so stay tuned to Dancehallhiphop.com because we will be posting it as soon as it drops midnight tomorrow night. He didn’t reveal who is the producer behind the record but we all know that Nav likes to handle the productions for his singles so don’t be surprised if he is also credited as the producer.

Lil Uzi Vert and Nav have worked together in the past including on a few singles off the Perfect Timing project in July. Uzi Vert is featured on the singles “A$AP Ferg” and “NAVUZIMETRO#PT2.” Nav celebrated his 28th birthday in Toronto last weekend and you can bet that this single was on repeat at the party. “This last year been the best year of my life Wanna thank everyone who helped it be that way,” he told his fans on Instagram. Lil Uzi Vert also released his debut solo album Luv Is Rage 2 during the summer.

Nicki Minaj and Lil Uzi Vert Drops “The Way Life Goes (Remix)”

Nicki Minaj and Lil Uzi Vert drop their long awaited collaboration “The Way Life Goes (Remix).”

The track has been in the works since around September and just when fans thought that it would never see the light of day, it did and here it is. Nicki Minaj responded to a question from her fans about the collaborative single last month on Twitter. “Been done!!! but apparently someone somewhere wants to hold back on putting it out right now. It’s not me & it’s not Uzi tho. Tea anyone?” Nicki tweeted while hinting that perhaps someone at the label executive level might be holding back the track.

This is the second guest feature we are getting from Nicki Minaj in the past week after teaming up with the Migos trio and Cardi B on the new track “Motor Sport.” She has been getting a lot of praise for her verse on the track and after listening to this new joint “The Way Life Goes (Remix)” you will feel the same way too. Both Nicki and Cardi B had to respond to rumors of more tension between this week with some folks like Joe Budden saying that they are taking shots at each other on the single “Motor Sport.”

“Now you beggin’ this a doozy / But beggars cannot by choosey / Been the queen for eight summers / Just tell them to call me Suzy / This that Nicki, this that Uzi / This Hennessy got me woozy / Broke the internet in 5411’s and some Gucci / The blue ribbons eating sushi,” Nicki Minaj raps

Nicki Minaj Hints Label Blocking Song With Lil Uzi Vert

Nicki Minaj hinted that label is likely the reason why her song with Lil Uzi Vert is not yet released.

Last month, the Young money emcee told her fans on Twitter that she wants to work with one of the hottest young rappers out now, Lil Uzi Vert. One of her fans, Imamtay, asked her about the song last night and she responded saying that it’s been done but someone other than Uzi decides to keep it in the safe. The song is a remix of “The Way Life Goes.”

“[Nicki Minaj] what about Lil uzi vert’s song “The Way Life Goes” that u suppose to be remixing?” the fan asked, to which Minaj responded saying, “Been done!!! but apparently someone somewhere wants to hold back on putting it out right now. It’s not me & it’s not Uzi tho. Tea anyone?” While she didn’t specify who is holding the single back, fans are already concluding that label heads are the likely culprit since both artists are signed to major labels.

On another note, Nicki Minaj is getting some support from rap legend LL Cool J who offered her some word of encouragement. “Keep doing your thing. A career is a marathon full of hills valleys twists and turns. You’re just getting started the best is yet to come,” LL tweeted.

Lil Uzi Vert released “The Way Life Goes” as the second single off his new album Luv Is Rage 2. The song has been doing very well and is currently at No. 57 on Billboard Hot 100 chart and climbing. Perhaps his label wants to see how far the original song will go before releasing the remix, which makes sense because with Nicki Minaj on the remix it will likely be bigger than the original. This is the first time that Minaj and Lil Uzi Vert are working together.

Nicki Minaj is currently working on her long-awaited fourth studio album and preparing for her tour next year. She hinted on IG this week that she has some surprises coming soon.
