Moments before the show was set to start, half of The Paranoyds were parked outside the Echo in a red vintage car. They were listening to music and watching their soon-to-be audience being corralled into the intimate venue. Whatever nerves stirred over a reintroduction to live performance via their largest headlining gig yet were shrouded in blasé.– a cool ostensibly warranted by hometown familiarity.

Los Angeles quartet, The Paranoyds, cite two major influences on their musical prowess: garage rock and horror films. After seeing the group perform a reincarnate show at their native Echo, these influences proved themselves foundational. With their keyboardist, Laila Hashemi, missing, leaving the outfit to take on an unseen trio structure, the Paranoyds were set up for an even further stripped-down sound– the bare-bones composition bonafide their punk-ish posture.

Once actually onstage, the audience and band share a skittish energy. For many, this is their first live show in over a year and the Paranoyds’s spare, but never abrasive, ensemble is exactly the reinvigoration many were seeking. The ennui the band once emanated is immediately overpowered by their aural vigor (which is anything but laid-back). You would never guess, just by listening with closed eyes, that only up to three instruments and two voices were sounding at any given time; the Paranoyds are working hard. One moment, they’ll speak candidly with the audience or ask someone from the tech crew to turn down the bass, the next moment will be wholly dedicated to the ear-shattering vengeance that marks much of their sound (with screaming as a conduit, of course).

The Paranoyds – Photo © 2021 Cameron Acosta

Feedback is proudly bouncing off the walls from the moment the set starts– the audience and band begin to share a pulse. All is in sync, all is palpitating, and when drummer Joey Ruiz changes the tempo, the audience and their head-banging respectively follow suit. There’s something about the horror movie soundtrack quality that has the mob hypnotized. The Paranoyds are neither ostentatious nor decadent. They toggle between nervous admissions to their audience, further endearing the crowd, and gritty garage rock with minimalism at the forefront; any soloing is sparse. It felt like a bright hour for punkish disenchantment as their screeching was always followed by thanks or a crack of a smile. It felt truthful.

Paranoyds rock the Echo – Photo © 2021 Cameron Acosta

With much of the D.I.Y. artists of today relying heavily on the synth-driven sonics that dominate the bedroom pop arena, the Paranoyds analogous sound approaches rebellion; notably, there was not a synth in sight at the show. Formed in 2015, the four (Staz Lindes (bass, vocals), Lexi Funston (guitar, vocals), David Ruiz (drums), Laila Hashemi (keyboard)) already constitute a sound that reaches toward the next wave of gritty, tangible rock music.

The Paranoyds make music in celebration of a wilting city with a sardonic approach to the surveillance and influencership Los Angeles is enmeshed with. Their post-punk revival creates a dutiful vessel to deliver everything from base dissatisfaction to wistful nostalgia. Even in name, the group echo sentiments so reverent to this contemporary scope– feelings of being watched or exposed– that it’s hard to imagine this brand of social discontent wouldn’t resonate.

The Paranoyds – Photo © 2021 Cameron Acosta

With only one full-length record, Carnage Brain (2019) and a handful of EPs, the outfit are gearing up for a few West coast dates followed by, hopefully, more music. They’re still very much in their nascent phase, experimentation onstage and ambition abound. Unfettered by too much mainstream attention, but grounded by the desire for what lies beyond, the Paranoyds sit at the crux of their musical career and are positioned for much, much more.

Do you have dreams of becoming a huge rock star? Is it more than just some far-off dream, rather it’s something you want to actively start working towards right now? Are you confident in your talent and have the drive to go after your dream? Have you recently made the move to, or were already located in Los Angeles with the hopes of taking advantage of the robust rock scene that exists in the city?

If you’ve answered yes to these questions, then you’re likely looking for a way to start on your music career journey and wondering which steps you need to take.

While there is no playbook written in stone that lays out all the steps you need to take to make it big in the LA rock scene, there are tips and advice that can help you to be a lot more successful in your endeavors. So, let’s take a look at what you need to know about entering the LA rock scene.

Los Angeles – Courtesy

Find the Ideal Rehearsal Space

Because you’re going to need to be practicing a lot, it’s wise to find rehearsal studio space as soon as possible. Rehearsing at home will certainly be helpful, but it simply won’t be enough if you’re trying to launch a full-blown music career. A professional studio space is able to offer a lot more necessary amenities and equipment than your home may have.

If you’re searching for a Los Angeles rehearsal studio, Pirate.com is well worth looking into. They make it possible for artists like you to head to a Los Angeles rehearsal studio 24/7 and take advantage of and make use of high-end equipment, space that accommodates up to six people (ideal for bands), spaces that are acoustically treated, and plenty of other features. You’ll get the full pro experience with the studio space.

It is so much more than just a professional space to practice and create music in; booking studio space helps to add an air of professionalism to your career goals. It makes it that much more tangible and can be quite motivational when you’re sitting in a dedicated studio space.

Take the Time to Learn About the Local Rock Scene

Simply saying that LA has a lively rock scene isn’t enough; this is an opportunity for you to truly immerse yourself in it and learn from it.

Plenty of iconic musicians have hailed from LA and there are many music hot spots scattered throughout the city. These include places like the Black Rabbit Rose, which has attracted some of the top talent in the city, the Hotel Cafe that provides an intimate vibe and is known for pop-up performances from some of the biggest artists out there, and The Sunset Jam, which takes place on Mondays and is meant to give up-and-comers a chance to get in front of an audience; and plenty more.

One of the best ways to learn about where the hot spots are and which ones are worth checking out is to make friends with people in the city and who have a shared interest in music. Find out where they go and tag along to check it out.

Expect to Work Hard

Now just because LA has a robust rock scene it doesn’t mean you are guaranteed instant success. In fact, quite the opposite is true. It’s important you enter into the mix with the notion that it’s going to take a lot of hard work and time in order for you to build a name for yourself and realize success. For some artists, this can mean years and years of hard work before they start to see it pay off. You need to stay focused, motivated, and confident in your skills and talent.

Take Up Any Opportunity to Perform Live

Once you start to get opportunities to play live at various venues, you want to be sure you say yes to everything. You never know who may be in the audience, what connections you may make, and there’s the fact you’ll be growing your sound, getting live experience, and having a chance to interact with people and get their feedback.

It’s also important you don’t wait for these opportunities to come and find you. Instead, you make them happen. Get out there and actively look for chances to play. Open mic nights aren’t uncommon and give newbies like you a chance to get up on the stage.

Look for Inspiration

The final tip is to make sure you also feed your creativity and that can be done by looking for inspiration. Inspiration can be found in all aspects of your life. It may just require you to get out of the house, explore different sights and sounds, and allow that creativity to hit you.

It’s a Journey that Can Have a Huge Payoff

If you’re looking to enter the rock scene in LA, these tips and advice can certainly help you on your way.

Offset Pulled Lyric About Saweetie From New Song With IDK

Did Offset pulled reference lyric about Saweetie from his new song with IDK?

It seems that the bitterness from Saweetie and Quavo’s break up has run into the rest of the Migos group as it is now speculated that a song by IDK which features Offset has been refined to remove a reference to Saweetie.

The song “Shoot my Shot” received a lot of attention for the reference to the Los Angeles rapper. However, following the breakup, it seems that Migos are erasing any and all connections to Saweetie, who has dated Migos member Quavo and had a bitter breakup that continues to see drama from both sides.

Some blogs and fans are interpreting the development of IDK’s new song with Offset as coming off as another layer of Quavo’s ongoing feud against his ex-girlfriend. Neither of the rappers have anything to do with the song, but it seems that the lyric being changed at the last minute is telling a different story.

Saweetie | IG @saweetie

The latest version of the lyric reads – “Say she like to do the lounge, she don’t f*ck with the clubs/My type, my type, yeah, yeah, my type,” raps IDK in his verse in the officially released version of “SHOOT MY SHOT.”

The latest audio is an alteration, however, of the original verse that shouts out Saweetie. The original lyrics include the lines, “Say she like to do the lounge, she don’t f*ck with the clubs/My type, my type, like Saweetie, my type.” The verse still references the rapper’s hit record “My Type,” which many persons would know is an indirect reference to Saweetie even if her name is removed. It seems as though Offset (or is it really Quavo?) took issue with it and asked for it to be changed.

Fans, on the other hand, are of the opinion that the group is bullying Saweetie while also riding on her coat tail and using her song for relevance. “They clout chasing HER atp,” one person commented. Some fans, though, think it is good that the name was removed as it can be misinterpreted as a beef with Saweetie. “if he would of [sic] kept it on there y’all would of said they firing shots….grow to ppl.”

NBA YoungBoy Dramatic Arrest Video Surface, Twitter Blames Tekashi69

Dramatic video footage of the moments leading up to the arrest of troubled 21-year-old rapper YoungBoy NBA has emerged and some folks on Twitter are pointing fingers to Tekashi69.

The rapper reportedly attempted to flee from the authorities after police pulled him over to arrest him on a federal warrant in Los Angeles yesterday. While NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, is not seen in the video, at least two police vehicles can be seen manning a cordoned-off street. A helicopter can also be seen hovering overhead while cops and K-9 searched the area on the ground.

A police speaker is heard playing the message, “Come out with your hands raised and follow directions. If you do not, a police dog will be used to find you.

It’s not clear how long the rapper eluded the police, but he was eventually brought in and remained in custody. Details of the circumstances surrounding the warrant for his arrest are still not forthcoming.

Overnight, calls for the rapper’s freedom have begun to trend on social media. The hashtag ‘FreeYoungboy’ has been used more than 113,000 times on Instagram and is also trending on Facebook.

One fan on Facebook said, “Youngboy really predicted this arrest in a song after they picked up 69 , IYKTYK #FreeYoungboy”, while another showed solidarity saying “#FREEYOUNGBOY… we going to hold it down until you get home.. lil brother” followed by a green heart emoticon. Urban Islandz recently reported that YoungBoy turned down a $1 million offer to collaborate with Tekashi 6ix9ine.

Sadly, the rapper’s loyal fanbase has grown accustomed to his legal woes. At the end of 2019, a judge granted the rapper an early release from house arrest, which he was sentenced to for his involvement in a 2016 Florida shooting incident that left an innocent bystander dead.

On the day of his release in 2019, James Manasseh, who was Youngboy’s attorney, said the Baton Rouge rapper would be possibly moving to Los Angeles. “Being in Baton Rouge isn’t conducive to him being able to grow and move forward,” his attorney had said.

It turns out that there is much trouble in the big city for the Southern rapper.

Ron Pope – Seven English Girls Lyrics

I drove eleven hundred miles to find a photograph I lost
It’s just a polaroid I used to keep of a girl that I once loved
And sleeping leads to nightmares ’cause I never can forget
So now I’m dreaming of Los Angeles as the winter closes in
I said I’m dreaming of Los Angeles as the winter closes in

And we met seven English girls who asked if we’d like to see God
I’m not one for missed adventures so I answered with a smile
We spent the night on razor’s edge
All innocence and sin
Now I’m strung out on the Bowery as the winter closes in
I said I’m strung out on the Bowery as the winter closes in

And I won’t cry if you can’t love me like the way it used to feel
We had our summer on Long Island now there’s wounds that never heal

And I won’t cry if you can’t love me like the way it used to feel
We had our summer on Long Island now there’s wounds that never heal

I’d paint a picture of my mother but I can’t recall her face
She’s even far away at midnight and her laughter haunts my dreams
I ain’t never been this broken
I’ve got nothing left to give
Now I’m searching for salvation as the winter closes in
I said I’m searching for salvation as the winter closes in
Man I’m searching for salvation as the winter closes in

And I won’t cry if you can’t love me like the way it used to feel
We had our summer on Long Island now there’s wounds that never heal

Dr. Dre Dating Omarion’s Baby Mama Apryl Jones, Spotted On Dinner Date

Things are certainly looking up for Dr. Dre as it appears he is now in a blossoming new relationship with Omarion’s baby mama Apryl Jones.

On Thursday (February 11), social media was set ablaze when various outlets began to report that the hip hop mogul was spotted out and about in the company of a lovely woman. In case you might be wondering why this would be something newsworthy, you recall, Dr. Dre is currently in the middle of a bitter divorce from his estranged wife, Nicole Young. He also recently suffered a brain aneurysm in early January but was thankfully released from the hospital a few weeks later.

Over the past few weeks, Dr. Dre and Nicole Young have been embroiled in a heated divorce battle, with the latter attempting to walk away with half of the rapper/producer’s billion dollar empire. Dr. Dre has been extremely vigilant in his efforts to thwart Nicole’s plans stating that she by no means has any rights to such a large amount of cash. Nicole highlighted that she was forced into signing a prenup, and after 24 years of marriage, she could no longer bear what she noted as terrible conditions and treatment. In her filing, she stated that she co-owns the trademark to his popular name as well as his album, “The Chronic.”

The Beats by Dre founder did make one small compromise thus far, agreeing to pay Nicole $2 million in temporary spousal support. Fans are now having their minds blown as they feel they have now witnessed the cause of Dre’s heart softening. He was spotted leaving BOA Steakhouse in Los Angeles on Wednesday night with what seems to be a mystery woman.

The young woman was clad head to toe in houndstooth, and the look was paired with a sheer black bra. Dre sported a signature black sweatsuit, and both parties wore masks. The pair arrived together in a black SUV, and they also left together after dinner. Security attempted to shield the couple from paparazzi, but they were not too successful.

Now social media detectives have done what they do best and have allegedly uncovered the identity of the mystery woman. They believe it is none other than singer Omarion’s baby mother, Apryl Jones. Jones has had her fair share of criticism from the public due to her relationship with Omarion’s friend and former group member, Fizz. Now that that relationship has fizzled out, it appears Apryl is upgrading her list and adding the mogul to the top tier.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom)

Fans have sounded off on the pairing noting that Jones is “for the streets,” while commenting on how quickly Dr. Dre has moved on. What is your take on this new matchup?

Roc Marciano – Fabio Lyrics

[Intro: Fillmore Slim]
She said, uh, "I wanna go wit' ya"
This the part I ain’t understand
I said, "What ya mean, ya wanna go wit' ya?"
"I wanna be-I wan-I wan-I wanna be-I wanna be ya woman," ya know?
I said, "What ya do?"
She said, "I go to bed wit' men for money."
Ya know, I’m just a musician, I don't, I don't, [stuttering], as a blues singer
I don't know what she talkin' about, I'm green to all that
She said, "I wanna go to bed wit' ya. I go to bed wit' men for money."
I said, "What dat is?" Ya know?
She said, "I have sex wit’ ’em."
I said, "Where's ya husband?"
She said, "I don’t have no husband."
Ya know?
I said, "Well, uh."
"But I wanna go wit' you."
So then the fellas in the van, they just kinda just, "Man, we, you can't take her back to Los Angeles wit' you, man. We ain’t got no room for her."
And I looked at my pockets, I said, "Yeah, we gon' have room for this woman. We gon' take her back and one o' y'all got to catch the bus."

[Sampled Dialogue: Voice 1 and Voice 2]

Feed Me Jack – Emergency Lyrics

[Intro/Vocalizing]

[Verse 1]
Under a Los Angeles heat lamp
Turn the earth into a convenience store
Treadmills full of cars and parking lots
The freeways never stop

[Vocalizing]
Noo-no-no-lay-whoa-no-lay-whoa
Aah-whoa-no-lay-whoa-no-lay-whoa

[Verse 2]
Don’t you know it was an emergency?
They burnt food to keep the scarcity
Put a bullet in his head, in his head for me
‘Cause that’s how freedom looks to me

[Verse 3]
I know, I know
The sun will never set
I got a lot of light-bulbs
I know, I know
There on the walls
It drags us to the floor and out the door

[Bridge]
As soon as you cancel your plans
To not get enough
You’ll know that life shrinks and expands
Relative to love
And it’s not an invisible hand
If it’s covered in blood
And counting in dollars demands
The damages done
That ripple across distant lands
From satellite unseen commands
And they covered their heads with their hands
Afraid of the sun

[Outro]
Channels of inscribed ink
Incised by the city of teeth
Sinking down underneath
Sinking down

Abner Jay – Cocaine Blues Lyrics

Cocaine, Cocaine
Running round my heart
And then running
Lord, it’s running
Round my brain

I woke up this morning
I had a hungry pang
All I wanted for breakfast
Was some good old cocaine

Come here, Momma
Momma come here quick
Ol’ cocaine got me, Momma
And I’m feeling sick

Cocaine, Cocaine
Oh it’s running round my heart
And then running
Lord, it’s running
Round my brain

[Harmonica solo]

[Spoken]
I crave cocaine, Hah!
But I can’t find nothin’ here in Atlanta
‘Cause them hippies done used it all up
Hippies comin’ in here from everywhere
New Orleans and Los Angeles and all
For they said they’s happiness is good here
Police here is easy-going
But I’m tired of waking up, feeling bad every morning
Drinking this old, bad liquor
I want something to pep me up
So I’m going back down to south Georgia
Down to (?) Fitzgerald
Go to ol’ Doctor Hale’s drug store
‘Cause ol’ Doctor Hale give me what I want
Like a doctor’s supposed to do
These old doctors in Atlanta come telling me ’bout L.S.D
I don’t want none of that kid stuff
I want the real thing
Cocaine
So if any y’all know of having any
Meet me under the clothes line
‘Cause that’s where I hang out

I went out to Fitzgerald
Down to Doctor Hale
He had a sign in his window
Said, “Have none – In jail”

I walked down Elm
I walked down main
Trying to find a woman who used cocaine

Get out of here, woman
I thought you understood
You ain’t got no connection, woman
You’re no use, and no good

Cocaine, cocaine
Oh it’s running round my heart
And then running
Lord, it’s running
Round my brain

Let it run, boy
[Harmonica solo]

Oh, the doctor said
It kill horses and men
He said it kill you
But they don’t say when

I walk down Elm
I walk down Main
Tryin’ to bum a dollar
Get me some cocaine

I got a nickel
Oh, you got a dime
I’ll buy the coke, honey
You buy the wine

Cocaine, cocaine
Lord, it’s running round my heart
And then running
Lord, it’s running
Round my brain

[Harmonica solo]

Bloodboy – All My Idiots Lyrics

[Verse 1]
How much time could ever be enough?
We laugh as the sun is coming up
Lying on the kitchen floor
‘Cause we never road so hard

[Verse 2]
We promised each other that we’d never be too far
Now one by one, we start leaving
The room feels heavy with all the space to fill
I’m still gonna need this
All my idiots
How I love you still

[Pre-Chorus]
People say we’re too much
It’s possible we raised hell out of this
Never a codependency
But god was it meant to be

[Chorus]
We’re all a little too much
And we definitely aged out
Alarming communicative frequency
What kind of adults are we?

[Verse 3]
Let’s stay forever
Be forever the vagabond
We can force the boys to take it off
Running from security ’cause we climbed the wrong damn fence
Ladies, don’t you lie to me
There’s dirt on your dress

[Verse 4]
Now one by one, we start going
And all our bodies are spitting up, it seems
That’s Los Angeles showing
I’ll see you idiots in my dreams

[Pre-Chorus]
People say we’re too much
It’s possible we raised hell out of this
But this never codependency
But god was it meant to be

[Chorus]
We’re all a little too much
And we definitely aged out
Alarming communicative frequency
What kind of adults are we?

Thurz – Los Angeles Lyrics

[Conversation]
(man: Los Angeles is the city where dreams sweep you off your feet
>In front of a great spirit, that is both strong and ready
>>To help you along your journey
(man: ) Los Angeles means a complex [brand?] anatomy
>[Worth a lot of love, cookie joy turned tragedy?]??
(woman: ) L.A. is the city that birth me and raised me
>That is why it’s my everything
(man: ) To me, the city of L.A., is the city of dreams because you’ve got >Hollywood
>>And then you know, the city of the spirit, because you’ve got inner-city
(man: ) L.A. is the city of of the champions [bruh?]
(man: ) L.A. to me is what to hip-hop is for this urban community
>[We’re] all [?] essential to every aspect of art that comes to be in tune to an >>aspiring generation
(woman: ) To me Los Angeles means culture, sunshine and palm trees
(man: ) Los Angeles means [?] [?] sanity
(man: ) [Crenshaw ?]
(man: ) To me the city of Los Angeles means [peace?]
(guy: ) What Los Angeles means to me is opportunity to make dreams reality
(man: ) L.A., L.A. means dominance, land of the kings
(girl: ) I mean, what do you mean -I am L.A

[Verse 1 Thurzday]
The city’s a predator, blood splats, snakes black
Cats, hood rats, fat backs, they want the lion out his habitat
Devil contracts, high off contact where you inhale the smog at
That’ll bring your asthma back, from childhood
As it sits in your chest like the taste of the finest cognac
You pray for callbacks as everyone audition for they role
A lot of niggas play the same character, no cameras
Need stamina, to run past ya’
With your fake strategy, ya’ll cast in Grey’s Anatomy
Pretend to be surgeons, real niggas touch hearts
My soul is stained glass, look through my eyes and see the art
Happily remove the shades, now witness the Andy Warhol
Van Gogh, Leonardo, Basquiat, Picasso, Matisse, Michelangelo, Salvadore
Marco de [?] flow

[Conversation]
(lady: ) To me, L.A. means home, sunny skies and happy people)
(man: ) Whenever I think L.A., I think sunshine, [tupie?]
(lady: ) Palm trees, good weed and bad bitches like me
(man: ) Swimming pool, a sunny Chrimtmas, you and I, Venice Beach
(man: ) Los Angeles means lust
(man: ) Hollywood, Beverly Hills, American Excess
(man: ) Worldwide entertainment
(man: ) Hey, I love L.A. and the Lakers? Mean the world

[Verse 2 Thurz]
City of dreams, [har?] [P?]
With a snare, gasoline dreams spark it with a flare
And hope to blow up for the best
You never want a nightmare, people come here get robbed with [goals/ golds?] with hardware
Cats will raise a gun before they raise a kid
I guess new fathers of warfare
Bullets go platinum every year
Invest in a hefty share, and fire back
To preserve that, feed that dream between ears
Some dreams they dream, some dreams they come true
I represent that city on that Dodger blue
Rico, no [pubic/ public?] rep, purple and gold
Cats fade without clippers, sharp shoot your angels
Salute a king, whether on ice or at war
[Or marching on gravel, provide salutations?]
City of little conversation, long stares, complicates it’s cold cases
Transplant faces, brothers, sisters mothers
Everybody trying to make it

It’s L.A

Huxlee – 22 Lyrics

[Verse 1]
I’m gonna love 22
Some people tell me that I look just like you, but ask me
I more resemble a reluctant cocoon
I’m being hatched in a Los Angeles zoo
Where all my friends and enemies share a room
And lately, I cannot tell the difference between the two
Maybe it’s better considering my mood, cause lately
I’ve been a tidal wave in the kiddie pool
Thrashing and kicking like I had nothing to lose

[Verse 2]
You like to say that you’ve grown
What with your lover and a house you call home
But baby, you’ve still got plenty time to end up alone!
One of these days I’ll figure out what I want, and baby
I’m gonna tell you off or turn you on

[Chorus]
It’s in my blood-
That’s not enough-
Nobody warns you’ll either kill or catch love

It’s in my blood-
And I watch it run –
And nobody warns you’ll either kill or catch love

[Bridge]
I’m gonna love 22
I’ll start relearning things that I thought I knew, cause baby
My way of thinking keeps me stuck here with you
My way of thinking keeps me stuck here with you
My way of thinking keeps me stuck here with you
My way of thinking, it keeps me

[Chorus]
It’s in my blood-
That’s not enough-
Nobody wanrs you’ll either kill or catch love

It’s in my blood-
And I watch it run-
Nobody warns you’ll either kill or catch love

Jaden – N Lyrics

[Intro: Lido]
Big bags, push it, push it
Big bags, push it, push it, vision
Big bags, push it, push it (Can you see the vision?)
Big bags, push it, push it (Can you see the vision?)

[Verse 1: Jaden]
SYRE died in the sunset, don’t be like him
ERYS was born in the dark, then was handed a s****
A lot of shit I’m thinkin’ ’bout I never plan to admit
That’s why I had to make the canvas in brick
I understand they don’t get it
They just wanna see the flick of the wrist
All the raps, pink pistols and drip
They in the stands and they trippin’, man
They don’t listen, but it’s simple as shit
Give me a minute while I paint this picture
Man, no one figures it was ERYS and the boys in the city doin’ chores
‘Cause you know he gotta push that vision
Idea connoisseur, our protector with the scorch, no remorse
Man, you get it homie, business is business
There’s a lot of fire for all when your city’s fair share of our collisions got hot, almost turned to a scrimmage
I had to run around the block, young nigga was winnin’
So when I’m whippin’, switch plates and the windows is tinted
Man, this shit is so different
Los Angeles it’s all fake and ERYS a young genius
He’s gonna take it
No traces on the clothes, gotta pack it naked
As-Salāmu Alaykum pray to God I make it
We run the city with these vision laces
New mayor, if they break it, I’ma renovate it
I just push the pen to the haters
Got demons but I been a slayer
ERYS flex like Menelaus
They just need to switch behavior
‘Cause this is what I call

[Chorus: ¿Téo?]
Chase, run ’em down, f**k it up
Run, run it down, f**k it up
Run it, running ’round, f**k it up
Yeah, set it up, f**k it up (Woo)
Yeah, give ’em loud, f**k it up
Yeah, say it loud, f**k it up
Run it, run around, run it, run it up

[Verse 2: Jaden]
Them boys got a line around the corner, probably shut down
We don’t ever see ’em when the sun is out
Lotta pink shine when I’m runnin’ ’round
And I’m still waitin’ on the hunnid thou’
Really, out here helpin’ people you don’t give a f**k about
Lift off for the clique, they pissed off
Crystal, sip, sip, let them niggas talk
Young boy, I don’t trip, ERYS, I been the one
Jeweler hit my line he said “What color for the neck?”
I told him “Pink”
Flood me with that dummy shit, more water than the sea
Honey, I speak it to so-and-so, I’m rollin’ up my sleeve, jeez
If I’m honest, we the hottest by the beach, see
Shit, they don’t believe, so I had to let her—

[Refrain: Tyler Cole & Jaden]
Another young nigga gone in the sunset
We were shootin’ down the drones, we were upset
They was comin’ for my fam, homie, f**k that
We was runnin’ from the feds in the garden (In the)

[Bridge: Jaden]
From the pink
Flood me with the dumbest shit, that drippy in my drink
Take a straw when I sip it, got a hit me, I’m a beast (Let’s go)
Couple pillies feelin’ trippy, feel like shootin’ in the streets
Niggas silly, they don’t feel me, so I gotta let em’ see it

[Refrain: Tyler Cole & Jaden]
Another young nigga gone in the sunset
We were shootin’ down the drones, we were upset
They was comin’ for my fam, homie, f**k that
We was runnin’ from the feds in the garden

[Outro: ¿Téo?]
Oh, my rebel child, another died today
Oh, my rebel child, the sun is gone away
Oh, my rebel child, watch your back tonight
Oh, my rebel child, you might lose your light
Oh, my rebel child, another died today
Oh, my rebel child, the sun is gone away
Oh, my rebel child, watch your back tonight
Oh, my rebel child, you might lose your light

Abner Jay – Vietnam Lyrics

[Spoken]
Terrible things make news. Terrible men make big men. Why do think we’ve got some men in state office? Because they’re terrible! Look like you got to be terrible now to be popular. Look at the headlines of your newspaper every day, I don’t care if you from New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, or Selma, Alabama. In most cases the headlines of your papers are tellin’ you ’bout somethin’ that happened terrible. Just like before I left Denver, Colorado. Headlines on every paper in Denver where this woman poured gasoline on her husband and set him on fire while he was sleep! Now, if she had poured cologne or perfume on ‘im, and started kissin’ all over ‘im, nobody wouldn’t a never known a damn thing about it. Terrible things make news! Terrible songs make big songs!

It’s really pitiful and terrible about this Vietnam War. A young boy was in here last night. He had just been drafted. He had to go to Vietnam. And he had his little ol’ girlfriend with ‘im. And she was cryin’! Because he had to leave her behind for the front. It was hard when he left. So they left here and went down to the depot. And she was cryin’ down there, because he pulled out too soon. So he kissed her, and went off in his uniform

[Sung]
Vietnam, Vietnam
Look for me boys
‘Cause here I come

I’m goin’ away
On a far-off mission
I’ll be sailing on the deep blue sea
I’ll be back in the late, late spring
And I hope you will be lookin’ the same

Vietnam, Vietnam
Look for me boys
Here I come

I don’t have anything to offer you but a baby
Not even a ring to put on your finger
But if you wait, wait, wait for me
I will return with an honorable discharge from the Navy
And I don’t mean maybe

Oh, Lord
Save me for my honey baby
Oh, Lord
Save me for my honey baby

Vietnam, Vietnam
Look for me boys
For here I come

Vietnam…

Jaden – Falcon Lyrics (feat. Raury)

[Verse 1: Jaden Smith]
You got the cash, well I’m about to come and embezzlement
I am on a whole ‘nother level
I put the bass up in your face and you’re feeling it treble
You jokers corny like kettle
My superflow is so olympic that I need a medal
Pop out the bushes like “Hello!”
I reach for the top, never settle, you say you rock, you a pebble
I’m rock and roll, I’m heavy metal
Where are you now? Where are you now? I’m whipping it
Sitting back, listening, where are you, where are you now?
Whipping it, butterfly, butterfly, where are you now?
Falcon, falcon, falcon

[Hook: Jaden Smith]
Cops on the road, f**k ’em
There’s cops on the road, there’s cops on the road, f**k ’em
There’s cops on the road, falcon, I’m on the move
Cops on the road, douse ’em, I got you all bouncing
Falcon

[Bridge: Raury]
I am not afraid to walk the lonely road
I’m so curious of where it goes, oh
Who really cares? We won’t be there
When kingdom comes, it all falls do-o-o-o-own

[Verse 2: Jaden Smith]
Ooohh (cops on the road)
I hope wherever you are
You can see all of the stars, constellations
I’m impatient, you are beautiful (beautiful)
You should know (you should know)
Wherever you go, I’ma follow
Wherever you go, I’ma follow
My heart is so hollow, I’m high as Apollo
Seventeen, having problems with all of them models
Who got them red bottoms and bottles
We gotta go skrrt, hand on the throttle
Oh, only you could hold me down
What do you think that I’m doing when you’re not around?
I’m just at home by myself
Or out with them girls but we both know that doesn’t help me
No, no, I’m ready to go, so much better than before
Nigga said I wasn’t dope but now my head is on the road

[Break: Jaden Smith]
Bounce (got me swerving on the road)
Bounce (all them cops is on the road)
Bounce, bounce (cops, falcon)

[Verse 3: Raury & Jaden Smith]
Back and I’m relaxed in East Atlanta
I’m an African-American, a variant to what my city’s lacking
The world has gone to hell, I just roll up the gas
And pass it all around the circle to my day one homies
Oh, you actin’ like you know me?
Remember when I was so lowkey
Chill in the cut with a doobie and a cutie
Man I gotta live life, I know they gon’ judge me
(Ohhh) But that’s a necessary evil, uh
And I was born to sin like people, oh
(My eyes are right) I’m living a lie
Trying to do what is right, yeah
Go on mama, do your dance
Need my money in advance, the Louie V pants
I’m never playing bout my bands
Kick in your door, “doo doo doo!” with the tool in my hand
Raury they don’t understand
We had to stick it to the man, we bout to hit the road
Get the money where I can
Let them hate on this event (that’s just a piece of the plan)

[Skit: News reporter]
Breaking news. There seems to be a high speed police chase, at north bound on the Los Angeles 101 freeway. There seems to be two cars trying to outrun police officers with falcon winged doors. This is interesting, stay tuned…

[Outro]
Do you remember now?
Syre, the boy who chased the sunset, until it chased him
The boy who had no fears, until he faced them
The boy whose words seem to never make sense
This is ninety

Flying Lotus – Ain’t No Coming Back Lyrics

[Chorus: Busdriver]
Your god is from the underground
So when you pray, you can now fuck around
No one will ever save you
Once your dead, then your dead
There is no coming back
Your god is from the underground
So when you pray, you can now fuck around
No one will ever save you
Once your dead, then your dead
There is no coming back

[Verse 1: Busdriver]
News flash!
The world cracks wide the fuck open
Swallowing you and your homies whole
Whole notes, holistic remedies, the whole kit and kaboodle
It is holier than thou
Digested by the earth, I’ve been jailed in the essence
Bewitched, imprisoned, disappear in the black expanse

[Chorus]
Your god is from the underground
So when you pray, you can now fuck around
No one will ever save you
Once your dead, then your dead
There is no coming back
Your god is from the underground
So when you pray, you can now fuck around
No one will ever save you
Once your dead, then your dead
There is no coming back

[Verse 2]
Grounded, yeah I’ve been grounded
Angelic limbs in flight taxidermied into coat hangers
My son asked me if we would live
My son truthfully asked me if we would live
Carbonite breakfast cereals with a cyanide taste profile
Leaving little room for imagination
Either that or nothing but room for imagination
Come to the temple of the intergalactic high command
To distract from your tomb, to distract from your tomb
Awash in afterworld reasoning and hood magic, made into metaphysics
Comb-straight, as streets crumble and bones break
As streets crumble and bones break
It’s mixing ash with blood, as the hell is normalized
Welcome to Los Angeles, motherfucker!

[Chorus]
Your god is from the underground
So when you pray, you can now fuck around
No one will ever save you
Once your dead, then your dead
There is no coming back

Frank Ocean – Lost lyrics

[Verse 1]
Double D
Big full breasts on my baby
(Yo we going to Florida)
Triple weight
Couldn’t weigh the love I’ve got for the girl
And I just wanna know
Why you ain’t been going to work
Boss ain’t working you like this
He can’t take care of you like this

[Hook]
Now you’re lost
Lost in the heat of it all
Girl you know you’re lost
Lost in the thrill of it all
Miami, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Spain, lost
Los Angeles, India, lost on a train, lost

[Verse 2]
Got on my buttercream silk shirt and it’s Versace
(There he goes, one of God’s own prototypes)
Hand me my triple weight
So I can weigh the work I got on your girl
(Too weird to live, too rare to die)
No I don’t really wish
I don’t wish the titties would show
Nor have I ever, have I ever let you get caught?

[Hook]
Lost
Lost in the heat of it all
Girl you know you’re lost
Lost in the thrill of it all
Miami, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Spain, lost
Los Angeles, India, lost on a train, lost

[Bridge]
She’s at a stove (huh!)
Can’t believe I got her out here cooking dope (cooking dope)
I promise she’ll be whipping meals up for a family of her own some day
Nothing wrong (nothing wrong)
No, nothing wrong (ain’t nothing wrong) with a lie (ooh, ooh)
Nothing wrong (nothing wrong)
With another short plane ride (ain’t nothing wrong)
Through the sky (up in the sky)
You and I (just you and I)

[Hook]
Lost
Lost in the heat of it all
Girl you know you’re lost
Lost in the thrill of it all
Miami, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Spain, lost
Los Angeles, India, lost on a train, lost

[Outro]
Love lost, lost?
Love love
Love lost, lost?
Love love
Love lost
Love love
Love lost

Jaden Smith – Falcon lyrics

(feat. Raury)

[Verse 1: Jaden Smith]
You got the cash, well I’m about to come and embezzlement
I am on a whole ‘nother level
I put the bass up in your face and you’re feeling it treble
You jokers corny like kettle
My superflow is so olympic that I need a medal
Pop out the bushes like “Hello!”
I reach for the top, never settle, you say you rock, you a pebble
I’m rock and roll, I’m heavy metal
Where are you now? Where are you now? I’m whipping it
Sitting back, listening, where are you, where are you now?
Whipping it, butterfly, butterfly, where are you now?
Falcon, falcon, falcon

[Hook: Jaden Smith]
Cops on the road, fuck ’em
There’s cops on the road, there’s cops on the road, fuck ’em
There’s cops on the road, falcon, I’m on the move
Cops on the road, douse ’em, I got you all bouncing
Falcon

[Bridge: Raury]
I am not afraid to walk the lonely road
I’m so curious of where it goes, oh
Who really cares? We won’t be there
When kingdom comes, it all falls do-o-o-o-own

[Verse 2: Jaden Smith]
Ooohh (cops on the road)
I hope wherever you are
You can see all of the stars, constellations
I’m impatient, you are beautiful (beautiful)
You should know (you should know)
Wherever you go, I’ma follow
Wherever you go, I’ma follow
My heart is so hollow, I’m high as Apollo
Seventeen, having problems with all of them models
Who got them red bottoms and bottles
We gotta go skrrt, hand on the throttle
Oh, only you could hold me down
What do you think that I’m doing when you’re not around?
I’m just at home by myself
Or out with them girls but we both know that doesn’t help me
No, no, I’m ready to go, so much better than before
Nigga said I wasn’t dope but now my head is on the road

[Break: Jaden Smith]
Bounce (got me swerving on the road)
Bounce (all them cops is on the road)
Bounce, bounce (cops, falcon)

[Verse 3: Raury & Jaden Smith]
Back and I’m relaxed in East Atlanta
I’m an African-American, a variant to what my city’s lacking
The world has gone to hell, I just roll up the gas
And pass it all around the circle to my day one homies
Oh, you actin’ like you know me?
Remember when I was so lowkey
Chill in the cut with a doobie and a cutie
Man I gotta live life, I know they gon’ judge me
(Ohhh) But that’s a necessary evil, uh
And I was born to sin like people, oh
(My eyes are right) I’m living a lie
Trying to do what is right, yeah
Go on mama, do your dance
Need my money in advance, the Louie V pants
I’m never playing bout my bands
Kick in your door, “doo doo doo!” with the tool in my hand
Raury they don’t understand
We had to stick it to the man, we bout to hit the road
Get the money where I can
Let them hate on this event (that’s just a piece of the plan)

[Skit: News reporter]
Breaking news. There seems to be a high speed police chase, at north bound on the Los Angeles 101 freeway. There seems to be two cars trying to outrun police officers with falcon winged doors. This is interesting, stay tuned…

[Outro]
Do you remember now?
Syre, the boy who chased the sunset, until it chased him
The boy who had no fears, until he faced them
The boy whose words seem to never make sense
This is ninety

Anderson .Paak – ‘Тil It’s Over

[Verse 1]
We stayed up all night watching the comedy show
That aged whiskey and hydro
Good lord, what a nice conversation
I’m too floored to get anywhere safely
You know I talk about you highly
I’m fascinated for the time being
We can laugh until the morning
Or we can dance in the hallway

[Pre-Chorus]
Only one more night in Los Angeles
I really thought I could handle it
But the funny thing is, I was holding back tears
I didn’t think this day would happen
I give all this up for a chance at it
You would have thought I’d be the man for this
But the funny thing is, we can never stay here
I didn’t think this day could happen

[Chorus]
I’ma ride it ’til it’s over
I’ma ride it ’til it’s over
I’ma ride it ’til it’s over
I’ma ride it ’til it’s over

[Breakdown]
I’ma ride, I’ma ride
Ride
I’ma ride it ’til it’s over
I’ma ride, I’ma ride
I’ma ride, I’ma ride

[Verse 2]
And don’t all this new music sound the same?
Yeah, we must be getting old and grey
We left early, girl, that bed was shitty anyway
We went home and left our clothes up in the living space, aye
Would you stay if your heart had the power?
Would you run and find another life to imitate?
It’s important that we make the best of short time
You could never be my one and only, anyway
Say, can’t a young man dream?
Can’t we all live the life on a widescreen?
What’s the point? Yeah
Yeah, we had fun, if only for the time being

[Chorus]
I’ma ride it ’til it’s over
I’ma ride it ’til it’s over
I’ma ride it ’til it’s over
I’ma ride it ’til it’s over

[Breakdown]
I’ma ride, I’ma ride
Ride
I’ma ride it ’til it’s over
I’ma ride, I’ma ride
I’ma ride, I’ma ride

[Chorus]
I’ma ride it ’til it’s over
I’ma ride it ’til it’s over
I’ma ride it ’til it’s over
I’ma ride it ’til it’s over

[Breakdown]
I’ma ride, I’ma ride
Ride
I’ma ride it ’til it’s over
I’ma ride, I’ma ride
I’ma ride, I’ma ride

Sophia Grace and Rosie Are Back Together During Valentine’s Day Surprise

Guess who’s back together again?!

Just a few short weeks after Sophia Grace and Rosie appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to celebrate the talk-show host’s 60th birthday, E! News has learned the pair reunited again in Los Angeles.

In an Instagram posted Thursday afternoon, Rosie gave a sneak peek into the surprise reunion on Valentine’s Day.

“Back where it all began!” the caption read. “#cousins #bestsurpriseever @therealsophiagrace.”

Sophia Grace would also capture a selfie with her family member on Instagram Stories. So what brings this talented pair together again? Perhaps it’s just a small world after all.

“Rosie is in town recording her first song and Sophia FaceTimed her and surprised her that she was in town,” Rosie’s rep shared with E! News. “The girls spent yesterday shopping together and trying out makeup! They literally ran to each other when they saw each other. It was so cute!”

During her trip to Southern California, Rosie posted a photo from the Universal Music Group offices in Los Angeles. And just last month, fans learned more about Rosie’s new song that is expected to be released soon.

“It’s fun, upbeat, has a positive message, and is an excellent reflection of Rosie’s personality,” her rep shared with us. “We’re working with an amazingly talented producer named Jordan Richman along with his writing team of Heather Miley and Griffith Frank. This is the same writing team behind JoJo Siwa‘s mega hit, ‘Boomerang,’ which currently has over 440 million views on YouTube and over 7 million streams on Spotify.”

“I’m not saying that we’re going to match those numbers, but the song Jordan and his team wrote is awesome, and I am expecting a great response from Rosie’s fanbase,” Rosie’s team added.

Anything is possible. After all, Rosie was one half of the duo who earned 53 million views of their “Super Bass” cover on YouTube. As for the moment they met Nicki Minaj on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, that clip has received a whopping 126 million clicks.

Cheers, ladies!
