Shaggy and Sting Joint Album “44/876” Gets Release Date

Shaggy and Sting joint album 44/876 will be here sooner than later.

The duo released the first single “Don’t Make Me Wait” off the upcoming album yesterday. The duo is currently in New York recording the album and we’re told that most of the songs are already recorded. The album release date is set for April 20th this year so going forward it’s just the finishing touches and promotion. “Most if not all of the songs are already recorded so right now its like putting in the finishing touches and promoting the LP ahead of the big release,” a rep for the dancehall legend told DHH.

Shaggy and Sting will also embark on a major tour of North America and Europe later this year to help push the album. “We are currently putting together a major tour, something big and authentic where we can get up close and personal with the fans, because this album is going to be big, ain’t nothing normal what we have in the pipeline,” his rep added.

Shaggy is one of the most commercially successful artists in dancehall of all-time. His 2000 album Hot Shot has been certified diamond globally and six times platinum in the United States. Since then he has released around half a dozen albums but none of them come remotely close to the success of Hot Shot. Shaggy also tops list of richest living reggae/dancehall artists with an estimated net worth of $22 million.

Sting is a hugely successful artist in his own right and has always been close to reggae. He was the lead singer/songwriter for the iconic British band, The Police in the 1970s and 80s, but in 1985 he launched his solo career and that same year he released his solo debut album The Dream of the Blue Turtles. The LP was heavily influenced by reggae music so it’s only natural for Sting to team up with an iconic name in reggae/dancehall like Shaggy for a joint album. The album 44/876 is set for an April 20th release date.

“She’s doing two-a-days twice a week and the other three days she’s doing one workout per day,” Kaiser says. “It’s been a little bit harder to do two-a-days with our Skype training sessions because of our time difference. When I was there, we were definitely doing two-a-days for the month. Since then she got the initial drop, she lost a ton of weight and inches, so now we are making sure we are working on endurance and strength.”

The album has the biggest debut week so far this year outside of JAY-Z‘s 4:44 which was certified platinum within the first week. DAMN sold 605,000 copies in the first week and debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Kendrick Lamar posted a photo of his double platinum plaque on Instagram that he got from the Record Industry Association of America, RIAA.

“These murals forever belong to my fans,” Kung Fu Kenny wrote. “You’ve always taken my words above and beyond. Around the world and back again. With trust. I am forever grateful. 2x.” Fourteen weeks after the album release, DAMN is still doing well on the Billboard 200 chart with 56,000 copies sold in the last week. That is more than a lot of artists first week sales. The album sits at number two on the chart behind JAY-Z’s landmark album.

Kendrick Lamar is currently touring North America for his “The DAMN Tour” and he is getting some support from his rap peers including Chance the Rapper and J. Cole who made guest appearances at his shows in Chicago and Detroit this week respectively.

Corporate Avenger – Evolved Lyrics

Evolved Lyrics

Indians are not chinamen, some books contain lies.
If man had evolved from apes, there would be no more apes.
It has been said and written over and over again that the first north
Americans followed migrations of animals on a land bridge from asia into the north America due to
exposed land which occured during the low sea levels of the last ice age.
It has been said that there is no historic record of these early pioneers the
last of which crossed supposedly at 10,000 years ago, even though great
civilizations, with great structures already existed in north and South America.

If man had evolved from apes, there would be no more apes.
Oh, the truth feels good.
All this is quoted as fact with absolutely no consideration to the common
sense notion that as an ice age recedes it does so from the warmest parts of
the earth around the equator, to the north and to the south towards poles.
This grear land bridge theory subliminally suggest that the people who were
native to this land were not native at all but mere descendants of immigrants.
If man had evolved from apes, there would be no more apes.
Oh, the truth feels good.
