Future Claims First Hot 100 No. 1 Song With Drake’s ‘Way 2 Sexy’ After 125 Entries

Future nabs his first ever Hot 100 song and break the record for longest wait to top the chart among artists.

The old adage goes, “If at first, you don’t succeed, Try, try, try again.” It looks like Future took that advice literally as he’s recorded over 100 entries before getting a number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Today his drought ended as he officially has the #1 song on the Hot 100.

He’s broken the record for the longest wait for a #1 as he finally climbed to the top position with some help from Drake. It may not seem like it adds up, considering the fact that Future has released some monster hits for the past decade. He almost tasted the pinnacle of the board with “Life Is Good,” another collaboration with Drake.

That track looked set to take the number one spot but fell off before claiming top credits. He’s shown great tenacity, though with an overall of 125 entries on the Billboard Hot 100, and now the Atlanta native has the #1 spot with another collaborative effort, “Way 2 Sexy.”

The track, which appears on Drake’s new album Certified Lover Boy, uses a sample from Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy.” He joins forces with Young Thug to bring the track to life. While this is Future’s first, it’s Young Thug’s third No. 1 song on the Hot 100 chart and comes after his track “FRANCHISE” with Travis Scott and “Havana” with Camila Cabello.

Drake, on the other hand, is used to setting and breaking records. Earlier today, September 13, it was revealed that he did that once again by incredibly charting every single song from the album within the top 40. That’s not all, Drizzy also has 9 songs in the top 10 hottest tracks right now.

Guess who has the record as the rapper for the most #1 songs in history? Yup, that’s right, Drake has that one too. He claimed it after he got his ninth #1 this week.

Lil Uzi Vert Names Mike Jones Among Top 5 Most Influential Rappers

It’s always interesting when rappers reveal who the most influential voices were leading up to their success. Lil Uzi Vert revealed his influences while being interviewed on The Fat Joe Show on Instagram Live last Thursday night (Feb. 11). Uzi made the appearance, of course, sporting his $24 million diamond forehead piercing. During the interview, he revealed the top five artists that helped make him the rapper he is today. The first rapper he mentioned was Mike Jones.

“The first rapper that I ever learned lyric for lyric was Mike Jones. That’s the first rapper I learned everything lyric for lyric, and I wanted to be like him. I had a Boost Mobile and my mom would give me $15 and I’d get phone cards and shit and I would spend all my money calling Mike Jones’ number ’cause I wanted to talk to him,” he said.

He even remembered the Houston rapper’s phone number and shared it with fans. “I remember the number by heart. Right now, to this day: 281-330-8004. I felt that star power from him. He had that star power.”

As he moved through his list of influences, he mentioned Lil Wayne, whose style he admitted he actually tried to emulate. “I wanted to be Lil Wayne. When I was younger, girls would say I looked like Lil Wayne, so I would run with that. And I would wear the fedoras, and I would wear the tight Polo tees with the skinnies, and wear the Vans and sh*t,” he added. He also said that he ordered a fake piercing off of Amazon, which had a magnet. He wore the fake piercing below his lip every day so that he could feel more like Lil Wayne.

He also praised his aunt Remy Ma, for some of his success. “I got a gangsta aunt and my aunt definitely a little different. She one of them girls from the hood that was the DMX fan and the Remy Ma fan,” he said.

Another rapper that had a major influence on him was Kurupt, who Vert said had that “East Coast mentality but that West Coast swag. He also mentioned Young Thug, who he described as a “mythical creature.”

“This was later in my life. So, I used to listen to I Came From Nothing, I Came From Nothing 2. I used to watch on YouTube when Young Thug used to perform at the little like skating rink shits. The reason that he was such an influence to me was because he was almost like a mythical creature back then,” he said.

He continued on to say that he always knew that Young Thug would be successful. “I actually knew before the public. Not even before the public. I’m not from Atlanta, so everybody out there knew about that man before me. Atlanta and around Atlanta, Georgia or whatever. But, just where I was from, I felt like I was the first person in the fu**in’ world that was listening to him. I felt like that.”

T.I. Asks Young Thug If He Wore A Dress For Attention, Here’s Thugger Response

T.I. asks Young Thug about his infamous dress while suggesting that it was all for attention.

We live in changing times. Gender expression is becoming increasingly fluid, and this trend is breaking into an arena that is traditionally about as masculine as it comes—hip hop. Young Thug has been able to break boundaries in an unexpected way with his ability to play with feminine fashion choices while also maintaining his credibility in the rap game, but it seems T.I. suspected the Atlanta artist did it all to turn heads.

Speaking with Thug on his podcast, ExpediTIously, Tip first commended Thugger’s ability to do what would have once seemed impossible, saying, “You were so confident in your skin that you put on a f***ing dress but maintained your status as a real n***a.”

T.I. went on to agree his other guest, Benny The Butcher, who suggested that move was a publicity stunt. “This n***a put a dress on for attention, tell the truth. You did that sh*t for attention.” Young Thug stood his ground, however, responding nonchalantly by saying that the extravagant baby-blue dress featured on the front of the JEFFERY mixtape simply matched his shoes. “That motherf*cker matched,” he said. “This on my kids.”

While his explanation seems a little too easy, it is likely that Young Thug was making a larger statement about his right to put whatever he wants on his body for whatever reason he wants. Hip hop and fashion have always intersected in a huge way that continues to make a large cultural impact, and musicians across all genres have often played with gender norms in their fashion choices. It seems only right that even the grittiest hip hop artists should also be able to express their femininity if they so choose. T.I. might want to take note of Thugger’s incredible level of comfort in his own skin.

Meek Mill & Young Thug Debuts “We Ball” Video Dedicated To Lil Snupe: Watch

Meek Mill and Young Thug debuts the long awaited video for their collaborative single “We Ball.”

Despite his incarceration, Meek continues to put out new material in an effort to maintain his relevance while he continues his legal battle to secure his freedom. One of his biggest singles this year is “We Ball” which is a cut off his new album Wins & Losses featuring Young Thug. The video has been a long time coming but was hampered by his recent legal issues which took his focus off his music.

The cut is dedicated to Meek Mill’s fallen friend Lil Snupe. In the video, the Dreamchasers rapper held up a Lil Snupe chain while he raps his verse at a funeral in a cemetery. “When they killed my ni**a Snupe, I seen my young ni**a / In the casket he ain’t even have no blood in him / Prolly the reason why I keep taking these drugs quicker / Ain’t got no patience for these motherf***in’ f**k ni**as / I watch everybody change, they thought I lost it,” Meek raps.

Later in the video he linked up with Young Thug in a church with a screen showing flashes of people from several different faiths praying for their dead love ones. At the end of the clip, the hashtag #JusticeForMeek flashes on the screen just like his previous video.

Young Thug Cries For Help Post Pic Of Lean IV In His Hand

Is this a cry for help from Young Thug?

The Atlanta rapper posted a pic of himself with a IV in his hand supplying what appears to be lean, aka sizzurp. There is an ongoing debate on social media about celebrities drug addiction. With the growing opioid epidemic across the US, celebrities are especially under scrutiny since their fans usually follow what they are doing. Lean, which is a drug made from codeine cough syrup and sprite, is popularized by hip hop artists who often post pictures of their double Styrofoam cups and even rap about it.

Young Thug is taking it to a different level by injecting in directly into his blood stream through an IV. “F**k a double cup I wanna feel it faster,” the rapper caption the pic showing the IV in his hand. Some fans commented calling it a cry for help from Thugger who has never been shy about his addiction to the substance. While the “Good Times” rapper actually never said the substance in the IV was actually lean or whether or not its something that he is using daily, it sends a clear message that drug use is cool.

Fans are commenting on the photo saying that this is a clear message that Young Thug is crying for help with his addiction to lean. “Young Thug pumping lean in his arm through an IV? The addiction epidemic is glorified now so it’s not seen as a problem anymore until someone dies. This. Is. A. Huge. F***ing. Problem,” one fan tweeted while another added, “Young Thug has lean on an IV Drip and is posting it on social media. This is a cry for help if I’ve ever seen one.”

Last month, young rapper Lil Peep died from an apparent drug overdose on his tour bus. Back in 2008, UGK rapper Pimp C died of an apparent overdose on promethazine/codeine, he was just 33 years old at the time of his death.

Timbaland Teases New Single With Young Thug


Timbaland teased a new single with Young Thug on his Instagram page today.

The legendary producer posted a video clip of himself inside his studio vibing the new song. Timbo x [Young Thug] coming soon,” he wrote. Timbaland is one of the most recognized figures in the producing game today and he has produced songs for some big name artists across many genres over the last two decades. He has worked with artists like JAY-Z, Missy Elliott, Justin Timberlake, the late Aaliyah and more.

With his headphone on you, Timbo gets into the zone while lip-syncing to some of Young Thug’s lyrics. The beat has Timbaland’s signature written all over it and Thugger came through to compliment it with his signature flow. Timbo has been known to mostly worked with the OG’s in rap, pop, and R&B, but now is he working with some newcomers like the Atlanta rapper. Aside from Young Thug, who is good hands, he recently produced a single title “With Vengeance” for Ski Mask The Slump God featuring Offset. This is not the first time that Timbaland and Young Thug are working together, the two recently teamed up for a track, “Didn’t Do It”, off the producer’s King Stays King mixtape.

Young Thug posted the tracklist for the album about an hour before it was released, while singling out a song with Offset titled “Only One.” The album comes with 13 tracks with production credit from Southside, Wheezy, Fuse, London On Da Track, TM88, and Mike WiLL Made It.

Migos’ Offset is the only guest artist on the album. Among the tracks getting the most attention includes “Drip On Me,” “Patek Water” featuring Offset, and “Minl Flow.”

Chris Brown Taps Future, Usher, Young Thug For New Album “Heartbreak on a Full Moon”


Chris Brown is on the verge of dropping his double-disc album Heartbreak on a Full Moon and the guest list is star-studded.

Brown has been working on the project for about a year and a half now and it’s finally coming to fruition. The album is set for release on October 31st and will come with 45 tracks from the R&B singer. Among the star-studded guest list includes Future, Usher, Young Thug, Ty Dolla $ign, Verse Simmonds,Yo Gotti, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Gucci Mane, DeJ Loaf, Lil Yachty, R. Kelly, Jhene Aiko, and Kodak Black.

It’s been over two years since Chris Brown last released an album. His last project Royalty was released in 2015 and since then he has released a few mixtapes but not a full length project. Heartbreak on a Full Moon will be his 8th album and will be his biggest project to date in terms of the number of songs. The album will be released on Halloween and the artwork reflect the the scary festivities.

Chris Brown takes Friday the 13th to a whole new level in his new video “High End” featuring Future and Young Thug.

This is another cut where Breezy takes on the directing mantle with the help of Spiff TV. The video Halloween-themed video features Chris Brown as a zombie and Future as a very rich ghost wearing Balenciaga and riding around in a Rolls-Royce. The clips start out with Brown rising up out of the grave to perform some dance moves that will take you all the way back to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”

Young Thug was more of a Jack The Ripper type character where he was killing zombies and beheading people. You can find cameos from Fabolous, Trey Songz, and Teyana Taylor. Breezy ensured that he gave viewers a disclaimer for the scary video. “This film and its contents do not inherently convey or praise any kind of occult,” the disclaimer reads.”

T.I.‘s Hustle Gang compilation album We Want Smoke is finally here and you can stream and download it on iTunes/Apple Music.

The 17-track album was originally slated for a September release but was pushed to October 13th. The project is the first compilation work from T.I.’s army of artists, but he also includes a few guest verses from some fellow Atlanta emcees like B.O.B. and Young Thug. Young Thug On The Gram Begging Fiance Jerrika To Take Him Back

Young Thug is begging his fiance Jerrika Karlae on the Gram to take him back.

Thugger seems like he is having some regrets about cheating on his fiance Jerrika who dumped him for allegedly having an affair with several women including an upcoming female rapper name Amy Luciani. The Atlanta rapper never denied the cheating allegations and at least one of the females have been blasting Jerrika on social media in a heated back-and-forth this week.

“Bae give me a chance I promise I won’t mess up no more,” Young Thug said. “Everybody tell her to give me one chance, tell her to give me one more chance and I promise I won’t mess up ever again. Thugger also said that it wasn’t his fault why he cheated and a lot of people used his phone. “It wasn’t even my fault man like six ni*** be using that phone man and all that stuff man,” he added.

Jerrika Karlae has revealed on Instagram that she is single after exposing some of the women that Young Thug allegedly cheated on her with. “The race is to the one that endures to the end #single,” she wrote. This is not the first time that the pair has broken up over allegations of infidelity. They have been engaged since last year and there are no words yet on when they were set to get married. Jerrika posted a photo of herself yesterday still wearing her engagement ring despite revealing that she is a single woman.

Young Thug was arrested in Atlanta last month for drugs and guns and is facing possible felony charges. Cops say they pulled over the rapper in Brookhaven, Georgia for having window tints that were too dark. The police report revealed that cops smell marijuana in the vehicle and conducted a search where they found a small quantity of the drug in the car. Cops also recovered two handguns, but Thug was traveling with two other men at the time.

Young Thug and Fiance Jerrika Karlae Split Over Cheating

Young Thug and his fiance Jerrika Karlae have broken up once again over some cheating.

For a while now, Thugger and Karlae have been going strong with the “Good Times” rapper regularly shouting her out on Instagram, especially since giving her a giant engagement ring last year. Seems there are now a lot of trouble in paradise because Jerrika has been ranting on social media all week and even exposing more than one women who she claimed that Young Thug has been cheating with. Whats even more damning is that one of the females is her best friend.

Jerrika Karlae even called one of the women a dude. Turns out that the women aren’t denying the cheating allegations either, because after they found out that they were being exposed to millions on social media, they started clapping back. One of the female who Thug has been creeping with, Amy Luciani, shot back saying that she is no dude and she is not a side piece either. She even went as far as to say that Jerrika is also one of Young Thug’s side chicks.

“Let’s be clear,” she said. “I’m no side chick. People are so quick to jump to what the media puts out. What this little troll did was really petty. I won’t speak bad on Young Thug because he’s a great guy however I will say you can’t TAKE what you didn’t have. Now on a higher note. Everybody have a splendid day Don’t believe the hype. If I wanted attention I could’ve been exposed things. It’s not that serious #loyalty.”

Young Thug Arrested Charged With Felony Drug & Gun Possession

Young Thug is facing a mountain of new legal problems that could send him to prison or at the very least earn him some probation time.

The Atlanta rapper was pulled over in Brookhaven, Georgia yesterday. TMZ reported that cops searched his Maybach after smelling marijuana and came up with a small quantity of the drug, two guns and $50,000 cash. Young Thug is currently sitting in a jail cell awaiting his first court hearing where he will know his fate.

So far we know that he has been charged with felony drug possession and could see more charges being tacked on for felony gun possession. There were two other men in the car with, so that could work in his favor if those two men take the fall for him. Cops say that they pulled him over because of tinted windows.

Back in January, an arrest warrant was issued for Young Thug’s arrest for a no-show in court for a window tint case. In April, he also dodged charges for allegedly slapping a female outside of a nightclub in Atlanta. So for the entire year, he has been dealing with legal troubles and this new round just adds to more problems for Jefferey.

Young Thug has a new mixtape out now titled “Young Martha” with DJ Carnage. The project was released on September 22 and features guest appearances from Meek Mill and Shakka. He is also working on a new album due later this year, so this time behind bars is likely slowing down the production process. Earlier this month, Thugger teased a new single with Future on Instagram that will be featured on his upcoming album. He didn’t reveal the title of the track, but it sounds like its fire. Thug also has a hot new single “Pere” with Nigerian pop star Davido and Rae Sremmurd out now.

DJ Carnage first announced the EP from earlier this year and in case you didn’t take him serious well now you know. Young Thug and DJ Carnage are now referring to themselves as a duo name Young Martha which is the name of their debut EP. LHH Star Yung Joc Addresses Cross Dressing

Love and Hip Hop Atlanta star Yung Joc has stepped forward to address allegations that he is now a cross-dresser.

The rapper turned reality show star was spotted wearing a dress and the photos have since gone viral on social media prompting him to cough up an explanation. Some folks thought that he was getting ready to hit the cat walk at New York Fashion Week while others thought that he was becoming a cross-dresser like Young Thug. Turns out it’s not of the above and in a video posted on his Instagram, Yung Joc says that the whole thing was “internet manipulation.” What he means by that, nobody really knows, perhaps he meant to say that it was photoshop.

“Yall probably wondering what the hell Joc got the hell going on,” he said in the clip. “It’s called internet manipulation. This is going to be one of the craziest times ever in my life or career when it comes to the internet.” Yung Joc says that he will be taking full advantage of the publicity that he is now getting and promote four shows on VH1 that he will be a part of. “Am I going to take full advantage of it, or will I be silent?” he added. “I will not be silent, and yes I will take full advantage of it. At this point in my life, you must watch. I’m currently on 4 television shows on VH1.”

There is another hilarious accusation that Yung Joc was forced to address and that has something to do with him selling his soul and joining the Illuminati. “I knew the type of backlash that would come from this sh*t,” Joc continues. “But let me address one or two things real quick. For those of you so quick to call on the Illuminati and say I sold my soul. Tell me how I sold my soul. I f***ed around. Sh*t had to happen in a certain situation. Future & Young Thug Teases New Collaboration

Future and Young Thug teases a new collaboration on IG on Thursday and it sounds fire.

The two Atlanta rappers are two of the hardest working rappers in the game due to the share volume of music they released over a short period of time. Earlier this year Future drop two new albums in two weeks and became the first artist to have consecutive number one albums in two weeks. Young also drops two projects already this year and is working on a third, so we are yet to know who will be the lead on this new track.

Young Thug was the one who posted the snippet of the single of his Instagram story. He captions the video clip “Mood” which shows the Freebandz emcee dancing with a large pile of cash next to his ears. Over the summer, Young Thug and Future hinted that they are working on a top secret project, that could be a joint album or a mixtape. Thugger and Future previously worked together on the single “Relationship” which did very well. They both are two of the top artists currently out of Atlanta, a city that is currently dominating hip hop.

Before they could even go in the studio together, Young Thug and Future have had their issues in the past. In 2015, the “Good Times” rapper took a few shots at the “Mask Off” emcee on Twitter accusing him of release too much music onto the market. Producer Metro Boomin also triggered a beef between Thugger and Future with a single tweet. “Everyday I wake up, new mixtapes are falling out of the sky. I think we all know where the trend came from lol,” he wrote, to which Thug responded, “I think if you guys were to stop drinking so much cheap liquor and high-tech syrup you would be able to think before speaking and typing.”
