Eva Merkacheva, a member of the HRC and the PMC of Moscow, reported this in her Telegram.
The attacker's name is Sergey Chernigovsky, he served in the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Nizhny Novgorod, where he was a senior detective of the criminal investigation department.

The head of the HRC, Valery Fadeev, said that he did not see “any connection” between the attack and Kalyapin's human rights activities.
