The Prime Minister of Ukraine announced the shortage of automotive fuel in the country

To cope with the shortage of fuel at gas stations, the government of Ukraine has made changes to the state regulation of prices for petroleum products, Shmyhal said

In Ukraine, there has recently been a shortage of fuel at gas stations, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal wrote on Telegram .

According to him, the main reasons for the shortage were the “destruction of part of the infrastructure”, in particular, the shutdown of the Kremenchug oil refinery.

The problem with the lack of fuel, as expected by the government, should be resolved within a week, Shmyhal said. He added that the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine are constantly consulting with fuel companies.

“Today, the government adopted changes to the state regulation of prices for petroleum products, which will resolve the issue of fuel shortages at gas stations within seven days” ,— announced by the Prime Minister.

Kremenchug Oil Refinery (KNG)— the largest enterprise for the production of petroleum products in Ukraine. Until April 2, it was the only operating oil refinery in the country.

On April 2, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that KNG gasoline and diesel fuel storage facilities were destroyed by “high-precision long-range air and sea-based weapons.” As stated in the department, the plant was “supplying the Ukrainian group of troops in the central and eastern regions of the country.”

On April 25, the Russian ministry reported on the destruction of “fuel production facilities of an oil refinery, as well as a storage facility with petroleum products to provide military equipment to a group of Ukrainian troops”; on the northern outskirts of the city of Kremenchug.
